Pics from the "Tour of Marin" meetup
What a meetup! There were so many nice cars and people at this event it was truly amazing. I had a great time hanging out with all the alfisti and getting to see their nice cars. There were also several nice Jags and a couple of Ferrari's and Maserati's as well, which added to the mix nicely. Oh yeah, and that Porche Carrera GT, which sounds like a wild caged animal that had been given enough meth to supply all of Los Angeles for a month! To say this car sounds wicked is an understatement, I still have the sound stuck in my mind! A big thank you to Dick Gale for putting on the event, it was top notch. I will surely be back next year, and encourage anyone in the area or those looking for a road trip to come join in.

WOW!!! What a turnout!!!
Jon, thank you for the pics ... and yes, you need a bigger memory card in that camera
Did the GTA go on the drive with you all? I would have loved to hear that thing tear through the Marin headlands.

Anyone know who owns that little red Giulietta spyder with the red roll-over hoop? Are my eyes deceiving me or is that running on a set of the very early Ti Super wheels? More pics if possible (and of the GTA engine), please!
Alex.
p.s. Am I right in thinking that the white 1750 is an ex-Nuvolari car?

Sorry, those are all the pics I got. The GTA had a twin plug head that I saw, and plexiglass windows. He also talked about the caster changes made to the suspension geometry from the factory if I recall correctly. Damn I need more then a 16 meg card!

Best place to get huge memory cards is in Hong Kong ... a friend of mine out there found a company that sells Sony-compatible cards for 75% less than anywhere else. They do mail order, I'll hunt out the invoice and PM you ...

Nice I appreciate it, my canon powershot came with a 16 meg card, I have been meaning to buy a bigger one, but the 164 comes first!

Thanks for posting the pics! I attended last year, but unfortunately none of my Alfas are running this year. We didn't have a Porsche Carrera GT last year, but we did have a gorgeous fly-yellow Maserati with a big, throaty V-12 - this car was eventually pulled over by a moto-cop as the driver neglected to put on his license plates. Big engine and no plates? He had it coming.

Was it a Maserati 3500 GT driven by a younger guy? there was a yellow one in attendance, and it was immaculate.

Good info Alex.
Post it here or pm me also if possible. I'm in need of a big card for my Sony too.
