If you are interested, there is a bit of a story behind this car.
The fellow who was the original owner of the car, got married. For whatever reason, during the early course of his marriage, it became necessary to sell the car. He sold it, which made the wife happy and the husband sad.

Many years later, financial situation being different, the wife locates the car and employs Italian Performance to renovate the car for her husband as a gift. During the course of the tear down, the husband learns of it and steps in to request a full restoration. It was not meant to be a concourse winner as the owner wanted a few excentricities of the car to remain as they are; such as the single brake servo (a previous mechanic, who shall remain nameless, had removed and discarded the other servo).
In 7 months, Italian Performance, had the car stripped, repainted, rebuilt, and reassembled to the owners specifications. The car was meant to be a driver not a show piece but Italian Performance took it upon themselves to go above and beyond for this longtime customer. I stopped by on any number of evenings to find Andrew working late and "off the clock" because he was putting a lot of personal pride into the job.
It is because of this 1969 spider that I chose to have them work on my spider as I wanted this level of detail extended to mine.
I just thought that the story was fairly interesting so I would share it.
