What a mild language, you make me very sad.
I'm sorry you take it that way. But I don't hate you
Piss and love pal !
Yellow is not my taste, I understand it's yours. In Europe, your Spid would be jacky categorized.

Dear Broyax
Even if we agree in taste's issues i have to keep my distances from your needless cynisism and lack of tolerance.
It's very important for social cohesion to say goodmorning to people you really want to say f**k of!What i am trying to say is that i am often pissed of with members (specialy americans but not only) when for example they are starting threads asking if their customised,vandalised-engine transplanted,Mad Max wheels fitted,etc.-Alfa Romeo has an original factory colour. But i am trying to avoid answers always having in mind two or threee things:this forum is not any kind of "greek fraternity" dedicated to classic Alfas of the highest level, all these members are Alfa enthusiasts, devoted alfisti, experts (maybe everyone in his own taste and culture level) and above all the vast majority of them is keeping the Alfa Romeo flag up in markets where Gruppo Fiat is struggling or in countries where the brand Alfa Romeo doesn't exist as a car manufacter anymore.

My alfa spider got featured in a local car magazine over here in the Philippines
the idea behind the shoot is to show the essence of the spider that has never changed over the years
in the shoot is my '73 spider and a '97 renault spider which just happened to be coincidentally colored yellow
shots aren't as great as the photographgers of the magazine. the raw pics of the photographers looked so much better especially the running shots alone and with the renault spider. will post them as i get hold of them
parked together before the shoot
at location

Awesome spider. I think yellow is a very good color for these cars. I understand everyone has different opinions but positive things are best said rather than opinionated negative.
my 2 cents....

I can't believe you got flamed for someone else's minilites and changing a common red spider to a factory canary yellow color. Looks like you did the job right too. I wen t from black to green and it is not cost effective, but I live the result. Lastly, another source for bolt in roll bars is alfa recombi (CA). You have to watch how the mount goes in the back section as the bar bolts to a box section and has to be sleeved to mount properly. Mine does not interfere with the top operation and had a pad available to cover the top of the bar. A side benefit is that it considerably stiffens the chassis (especially old ones susceptable to stress fractures).
Welcome to the BB, an unbelieveable source of information and help.

thanks for the comment vernon i'm still thinking about the rollbars though - it's not really first on my list to improve my spider's aesthetics. but it would surely look good and improve the handling and safety
regarding the past negative messages - it's really pointless to bother and argue with him. i'm just wasting time.
in the world of cars, its always about respect. we all drive the same brand which we are all trying to uplift. that alone deserves more than enough praises.
