Ammen/Rutherford-

Kieth- my understanding was that the steel car came first in 68 as a Gt Junior with a 1300 that ran in C-sedan. The very next year the GTAJr. came available/eligible for the same class and of course was much more competitive so the steel car switched to either EP for a bit or straight to B- sedan with a 1600. I think the ARRC results for 68 at Riverside show this to be the case. I have not found much for 69 in the way of results.

Further I sold a GTAj engine block to Singh in 1996 that he had trued up by Jack Beck on its way to NZ.

Perry did buy this GTAj, 775325 from Ammen according to correspondence I have from Bruce.

Perry vintage raced that GTAj occasionally up to the time he sold it. Usually at Watkins Glen.

Attached is a picture of Bruce Perry on GTAj 775325 at the Watkins Glen SVRA in 1992
That is the car, as I remember the wheels and name rings a bell. I've probably got the date wrong as was a guess. I also remember that he had a spare engine for it.

Hey Pete, I just found the date I bought the parts from Bruce Perry and it was Sept 1993. So if the GTAj was in the process of being shipped at that time, as I remember it, then maybe you saw it in 1994.

FWIW

A little off topic here but would anyone have additional pictures of the Ammen/Rutherford GTA Jr. I am especially interested in pictures of the interior.
