Finally got my Giulia Super back after it having been with the mechanic for almost three months (not a happy affair!!). I had asked him to look over it after I bought it at auction in February. At least she is now snug in her garage keeping the Spider company.
Sorry about the quality of the photo but it was taken with my phone.
I remember seeing that car at the Auction and was told there was no money to spend on it and was a great car.
I suppose no matter how good they are,,something can always be found to repair or improve.
Now you will have to toss a coin to see which one you drive first.
Summer= Spider
Winter= the Super (hope the heater works)
There really wasn't much wrong with it. It's just that the guy working on the car took his time.:no: it was just things like brakes and carb balancing that needed to be done and other minor issues. Unfortunately, one of the things that still needs to be done is the heater motor which does not work. Luckily it doesn't get too cold here!
I might have a heater motor here,several in fact.
When you get it out,PM me,and hopefully that job will get sorted.
I dont know about you,but I like my heater in Winter
This is a South African build car and was built on the same production lines that did Datsuns/Nissans. It therefore is a non Alfa colour.
The paint code on the firewall is given as 60300345 but I have been unable to trace what the actual colour is called. Maybe you have better knowledge of where to get this type of info. The car was built in 1971.

PS. I think you should buy RobT's Giulia Super. It would complement your Duetto nicely!
