Greetings:
A rather crisp, but sunny, day encouraged us to take our Black Beauty up to the 4th Saturday Breakfast in Litchfield. As usual, we used the trip back south to explore more of the Connecticut back roads - in this particular case it took us on some spectacular roads, even some dirt ones, that led up and down along the Shepaug River drainage as it winds through Roxbury. At times we felt like we were far from home.
Our destination was Bridgewater, CT, spiritual home of the Bridgewater Chocolate Company. We've stopped there many a time to snag some great confections from the glass display case. One of their "Floppy Ear" chocolate bunnies will grace the family Easter desert table!
