Rare Disco Volante / Barn Find
Some historians argue that this is the original prototype of the Disco Volante.
Dr. E, do you agree?

Imagine trying to parallel park that sucker?? There must be at least a GTV's worth of overhang past the rear wheels.

No, it's the almost totally unknown POS, with coachwork by the French firm Jacques Meyhoff.....but remotely related to the 1900 BATs. It was the first car ever with spinner hubcaps, but sadly they are missing. Looks like the dingle balls that were around the top of the windscreen are missing too, as are the wide white wall tires

That's actually an Oldsmobile prototype.

Apparently "Overhaulin" is not a new concept. I can't decide if they were going for the BatMobile look or for the 1951 Buick LeSabre Turine car. I think the later is more probable.

True, it takes a careful eye to discern, but I don't think the DV prototype was a convertible. Only a real pro can tell.
Did you make an offer on it? Surely it'll be worth a fortune someday (when the price of steel goes way up).

Love the ram air induction on the hood. That is perhaps the ugliest motor vehicle I've ever seen. Somebody actually spent time building that car...poor fellow. He could have been watching paint dry or the grass growing. Hell, anything is a better use of his time.
What does it say on THE fin?

The fin says "Tornado" I think.. maybe that's what it was called? Or what it was hit by?

Maybe something was going on in that barn we don't wanna know about.
I wonder what the engineering reason was for front wheel snows.
