Give me a few days. It's pretty much stock except for Magnecore wires and coated headers.

A torque dampener will cut down on the amount of power absorbed by the motor mounts. The motor mounts on the Alfetta are quite tall an rectangular shaped. The engine really rocks around in there. Compared to say a GTV6 which has motor mounts with a much lower profile and a more square shape, the Alfetta engine moves around quite a bit more. By adding the dampener and limiting the engine movement more power is transferred thru the driveline; rather than being soaked up by the motor mounts.

Torque dampeners are quite popular for cars such as the Honda Civics, Mitsu EVOs, Mazda Miatas, etc. They are generally used on cars with smaller (4 cyl) powerplants to help get as much power as possible to the wheels. Steve

Fred in Vista, Ca

sells a torque rod for the 105gtv's

Although I've never had any work done by him, I've been to his shop a few times and Fred seems like a great guy....

D@mn Denis!

That is really nice... did you polish those cam covers, or were you able to buy them like that... if so, where? And what's up with the manifold? Are those the chrome plated headers from IAP?

tnx,
k

Thanks for the compliments th0th,

The cam cover has been chrome plated by http://www.ggplating.com/index-full.htm. Not very expensive. Great service. This is a before shot :

The manifold has been ceramic coated by http://www.mr-performance.com/ (Turn off your speakers...). It is about half the price than a new stock manifold.

My new toy, the previous owner did a lot of work on it. I'm still reading the service history to find out what exactly has been done to the car.

Wow msiert! That's one busy engine compartment. What's all going on in there? Maybe I'll do some of these mods as part of my re-build... Great looking stuff there.
