Berlina parts for sale soon?

Hi, all:
I just got home from moving my two latest Alfa acquisitions to my storage yard...a matched pair of rusty '74 Berlinas that I'll be parting out. I'll shoot some pics tomorrow before I get started, so y'all can see what Washington weather will do to a non-garaged Alfa. They're actually pretty cool looking cars...I want to get one that I can race at our club events SOMEDAY. Huge thanks to Steve S. for helping me move the cars!!

Hi up there in Seattle,

This may be a crazy idea but - the back seat bottom in my Giulia Berlina has a cigarette burn hole in it from previous owner. I wonder if your latter berlina seats would fit ??? Mine now are tan Alfatex (vinyl) ???

Mr C:
I'll take a look, but these are "field Berlinas"...sitting in a field somewhere for God-knows-how-long, so the interiors are REALLY in tough shape. I mainly picked them up for the LSDs and the engine/trans (from the one that has it.) Steering gear should be ok, I think I'll get two heart-shaped Alfa grilles, a couple of OK doors, one hood, headlights, tail lights, running lights, wiper arms, radiator, brake cores, one set of wheels, some windows, A DECENT DASH, white-faced gauges, misc trim pieces, body side-moldings, a heater core, and who knows what else. For this pleasure, I have paid actual American dollar$, and I get to work in an interior that reeks of rats and cats, rust and spiders!
THE THINGS WE DO FOR OUR ALFAS!!!!!!!!!

I'm so glad that Pat ened up with these Berlinas. They were going to be hacked up and stuffed in a dumpster...so three cheers for Pat saving 'em.

I mean, neither will be running even again...they are too far gone to do that but at least they are going to keep other of our fine Alfas on the road.

Amen.

I'll enclose a pic or two here of our "parting party". Note the crazed look in Damian's eyes as he tries to remove the door glass...

And a pic of 3 1/3 Alfas...Damain's Berlina, the butt of my Spider, a more or less whole parts car, and the forward 1/3 of the other donor car. Maybe I should permanently mount it to the front of the forklift?

Nothing like parting out a couple Berlinas.

And yes, the windows are a total pain. I have since come to find out that you have to remove the strip between the wing window and the main glass...then you just kind of tilt it out. Of course that's for the front door glass...the rear...well....you have to remove the chrome (ugh). I'm not looking forward to that next week.

It's a kick in the pants gettin' all greasy and dirty.

And the surgery progresses- Damain and I with the donor heart...
Sorry it's sideways- when I rotate it and save it, it's STILL sideways. :-[

And finally, Dave's new Limited-Slip Differential, to be transplanted into his GTV Race car.

I tell you Pat can do amazing things with a forklift.

This was actually the first time I've been involved in pulling an engine. Great learning experience.

Hey Pat, will email me copies of all the photos you took?

Looks like you guys had fun! You guys look too clean though! I would love to jump into a project like that. I was wondering how the engine strap didn't slip off the forks until I saw the holes in the fork tips. Never seen fork tips with holes like that. Damian, can you drive that lift down here? I should be ready to pull my engine by the time you get down here.

BTW, I got the race disc Damian. Just haven't had time, or I keep forgetting to take a gander. Thanks again!

Pat is the forklift master...I'm not sure I would trust myself with it

Glad you got the disc. It's fun stuff to watch.
