Here she is, freshly painted and ready for storage for 2 years while I am overseas. Pity I have yet to see her in person but what a nice surpise when I come home. Taken on Mt. Tam in Norther California.
Truely a pity it has to go into storage. If you tell me where the keys are I could be convinced to go exercise it every now & then - just as a favor to you...
The job was done in San Rafael, CA (north of SF by 15 minutes). The job was complete. i.e. removal of badges, brightwork, bumpers, wheels, etc. However this painter was launching his own business after working at well known higher end shops in the Bay Area so he cut me a deal while he builds his clientelle; I don't think what I paid is a good reference for a complete job at an established body shop. Other quotes I received were between $4-6k, which is not worth it for an 80's-up Spider unless you are planning on keeping the car for your own use.
