What a great looking car! It has the headlamp bezels that were first introduced in the USA, I think. When did the European cars start to use those?

Does the Spider have Weber carbs?

A very nice looking car. I would like to get a pair of chrome mirrors like the ones on your car. Mine currently have black Vitaloni mirrors. The screw holes are 4.5 inches apart(not sure what the metric would be) Do you know if the mirrors you have are the same screw hole width as what I have now. I believe the car originally had chrome mirrors.

Beautiful. Too bad the US S2s couldn't keep that look right up to the S3 redesign. One thing I'd like clarification on: I thought the Euro S2s all had the Carello headlight covers?

HI all, thanks for the kind words.

it is an 1981 - yep 1981 model. 2000 with Solex carbs.
There were no more headlamp plexicovers for the 2000 version by the late 70s. I'll have to check on the car what the screw spacing for the mirrors is and i'll get back to you with the answer !

Regards
Alex
