There are a lot of people here who have pictures of Alfa's racing in the Trans Am series. Let's post all the pictures we can find here on this thread. Here are just a few of what I have. I need to scan more.

1966 Sebring Program

Trans Am and Alfa related Info from the 85 page 1966 Sebring Race Program the covers both the 4 and 12 hr. events. The Governors Cup was award to the 4 hr Trans Am winner.

I learned in the program that Fillipo Theodoli, who was listed to co-drive this event with Harry T., was a top executive with Alitalia. Alitalia I believe was an event sponsor. Tabuchhi, GTA (1ed) lists Theodoli of New York and attributes him with GTA 613151 which is generally thought to be Harry T's white GTA ride for 1966.

More from the 1966 Sebring program

More from the 1966 Sebring program.

Gearge Alderman would co-drive with Paul Richard, GTA 752507, in 3 1966 Trans Am events after Sebring. Richards drove the Sebring race solo to 3rd in class after the 2 Factory entries.

The 4th picture gives some indication of who was successful racing Alfas and then went on to get GTAs for the 1966 Tran Am

This provisional entry list does not include some of the Alfas (and others) that does the other list I have posted very early on in this thread.

1967 Green Valley Trans-Am Horst Kwech

Three more great photos from Jerry Melton, an SCCA corner worker in the era. Keith Goring believes this the 1967 Kwech GTA that crashed at the 67 Riverside Trans-Am race.

Ed Wachs at 1971 SCCA Runnoffs

Although not Trans Am this video shows Ed Wachs at the 1971 Runnoffs in his #6 Trans Am GTA. I also see a Green GTA(V) going by and wonder if that is Jon Norman.

Thanks to Clay Carpenter for finding and posting this in another Trans Am forum.

This first one is Marlboro 1967.

the second film shows a few seconds of a Camaro and the Ed Wachs BS Alfa. Although this isnt a Trans-Am race, the footage is still pretty cool! Enjoy

Clay, Thanks for pointing us to this Camaro Research Group, CRG, where there is a Trans-Am Camaros discussion group that holds many pieces of info in addition to some Alfa Pictures, that are of interest to Alfas in The Trans-Am.
