it's very interesting to see what Alfa did for export markets.
Do you know how many automatic GTV and Berlina were made?
Was automatic gear option for australian market only?
ciao a tutti

Good idea Joe, there aren't very many interior pics on here. I always tend to skip to the engine bay shot myself!! Here's a few pics of my 74's interior...

Vince, I do not know how many Automatic GTVs were built. I have only ever seen it in Right Hand Drive. Does anyone know if they were ever built in LHD?
Rmatteo, thats a very nice looking Spider interior...

I always find it amusing that when Alfa dashes crack they almost look like a design feature until closer inspection. My old dash had several cracks, all perfectly straight, spaced apart evenly, didnt look too bad actually... but i knew they were cracks so i gave in and found a nice crack free dash.
But this will hardly sooth my soul.. i will become anal about the possibility of this one cracking! Can never win haha..

My dash cracks will soon be fixed... and I'm not going to do the $30 fix suggested in other parts of this forum. Its only about $300 to have the entire dash re-skinned. Its worth it.
Please post some pics of your interior when you get the chance. I believe Alfa interiors have as much character and style as the exteriors do...

Hello Joee
nice idea! I agree with you:Alfa interiors have as much character and style as the exteriors do
Here are some pics of my Gt 2000 Veloce and Giulia Super
I know that there is a LHD Gt 2000 Veloce Automatic in Germany (so, at least one had been built.... and survive)

here are a couple of my GTJ daily driver. The car has A/C and I've modified it with for bullseye vents,2 centre and one at each end of the dash left and right to give all round cooling...much more effective than central mounted under the dash. The vents came from a citroen bx as they were the smallest in diameter I could find, they fit neatly between the chrome trim.

Hi Cucinando,
A/C is an aftermarket option,if you are going to install don't forget you need the double crank pulley for the belt. The compressor is nippondenso, and the blower unit fits up under the dash where it can't be seen,my mechanic made up a 4 hole plate to replace the original 2 plate that came with the unit.from there he attached 4 flexible pipes running to the 4 bullseye vents(from an 80s citroen bx)they bolted neatly behind the dash.My dash looked like swiss cheese anyway,so I had no problem with cutting a couple more holes left and right for the side vents. If I remember correctly, the two central vents fit where the radio used to,without anymore cutting. The wood veneer I had made up from teak here, with the edges of the holes rounded over. The controls should be made to use the original heater switch, but mine was in poor shape,so I just fitted standard knobs, which look a bit shabby!
I'm sure you can find an old unit in Oz,that's probably the easiest way to go,as you also need the specialy designed metal bracket that fits on the front of the engine for mounting the condensor.Anything that old will need a new condensor and dryer anyway, and anything modern should fit.Hope that answers your question, sorry I don't have anymore photos of the underbonnet instilation at the moment.

Very Unique Junior!!
Fletch,
Thank you for sharing pictures of your sweet ride!
It's hard to notice but there are lots and lots of modification on your car!!
Door trim: that's the thickest I have ever seen on 105/115GTs . What car did the armrests on the door trim come from?
Seats: seem to be from 2000GTV. Are they wrapped in leather?
Plush carpet: it sure does look expensive, especially when it's compared with stock vinyl one. How do you avoid them from getting stained?
Front grill: alfetta sedan center grill & stainless bars removed. Very unique.
Spinners on the wheels: are these popular over there?
Small round side markers: are they for ferrari?
Let us know what else you have done to the car!!
Look forward to hear from you

What sharp eyes you've got.....yes,lots of small mods, mostly for comfort,as this is a daily driver.Car is a mk2 gtj,but came with 2000seats,door rests, rear lights from a mk3 gtj(same as 2000).The photos were taken after the first re-build.Since then the door trim has been de-padded,and the gear gater sewn under the carpet.Seats are muirhead leather, which smells fantastic, carpet was made up from merc 300 carpet bought by the meter.Easy to keep clean with regular vacuuming and protective spray.car now has 1750 engine, box and diff.Rear lights have been changed to small type.swede(?)headlining and 3/4 inch of soundeadening all round to keep the heat and noise out.Yes,grill was indeed from an alfetta,I have the original, just haven't changed it back...I like the barless look and spinners and soft sided 175 tyres, although it's personal taste I know! This is the only mk2 GTJ in Indonesia, and was a private import. All others were 1750 or 2000 GTVs imported by City motors from Singapore.Glad you like the car,as I spend plenty of time in it I wanted the interior to be a treat, even if the extra weight knocks a second off the 0-60 time...

Fletch, thanks for the additional info, good to see someone ready to go beyond "originale" for the sake of making their car workable for the day-to-day.
Cheers
