Post pics of your resuced alfa's
After seeing the wrecked afla pages, I thought maybe some people would like to post pics of the wrecked then repaired alfa's to show there is life after death. Since I have never wrecked an alfa I do not qualify, but please post your pics to give others hope!

Rescued Milano/75
I think I was one of the first ... rescued this poor, tired ol' Verde in Summer of 1996. Pics taken literally an hour before I started taking it apart.

Here's the car after some bodywork, paint job, a new interior, some nicer wheels and a 164S engine:

Sprint
Cool ALFA. Never seen one close like this. Lets see, is this an ALFA SUD? We didn't have these in Kentucky. I like it. Can I see the engine and interior?

thanks your close - its actually called an Alfa sprint here, but it is basically the longer wheel base coupe model of the Alfa Sud (the early models were called a Sud Sprint, the laters just Sprint). ill take some more shots later - the engine bay looks nice but the interior seats are preatty tatty

looks like a 164 or later spider Alfa emblem and the 75 emblems can be found on ebay every so often.

Hi,
I have always been a big Alfasud fan because a 1972 Sud was my very first car.
Sometimes in the mid 90s I decided I had to have a Sud Giardinetta. Even
my Italien friends laughed about that idea, because most of the Suds had
rusted away and only very few Giardinettas were built.
Also the car could not be red or white because I really dislike these colors.
After many years of searching all over Europe, I found one two years ago,
weird color called bruno cilento (I actually like it), but tan interior which
will be changed to black very soon.
The car had some rust, but the rear door was totally rust free. What a relief.
We put two new front fenders on, welded the rear quarters and the rocker
panels and some other small areas. It looks like all the rust is gone now.
We just pulled the engine, because it will be replaced with an almost brandnew 1.5 liter TI engine with 105 hp. Out of all places I found it here an the Alfa BB.
Next will be a quality paint job in the original color and last but not least we
will redo the interior in black leather with piping in the exterior color.
Most likely we will install A/C too.
I want to leave the outside totally stock, so no wider wheels, spoilers (they
deserve the name for spoiling the look of the car), wheel arches or anything.
Hopefully the car will be on the road again by the end of next year.
Are there any Alfasud Giardinettas in the US?
Best regards
Hans

Here's some shots of my '86 Spider on the day I got her... and some pictures of her recently.
I've not done that much... polished and shined the paint, cleaned up the interior, removed the nasty seat covers, fixed a few little mechanical issues, and cleaned up the rubber. Still LOTS to do, especially rust work and now a loud clutch. It never ends...
Since the "now" photos, I have torn off that gross seat cover... turns out there was a perfect seat under it! How nice....
