My new Milano
I'm still sorting out a number of things, but in general I'm pretty happy with my new Milano. It has good power, sounds great, and doesn't leak any oil. Here are a few pics:

That last pic shows the front-end damage that I just had fixed. I replaced the fender, headlight assembly, corner light, bumper, and had some straightening done to the hood. It looks decent! Now I can drive the hell out of it!

I remember seeing ads for that car. Your repairs came out quite good. Way to save an Alfa!!

Hit n' run
Alfas are like a beautiful women, but with mental issues, they are eventually going to treat you bad just to make sure you love them

Thanks, Rags. The plate holder needs fixing, true, but that's the least of my worries at the moment. And whatever wind resistance it might be causing seems to be minimal! LOL
Warren, thanks for the kind words. I'm glad to have her on the road and she's in pretty good shape, which is a tribute to your efforts.
I actually bought the car solely for the engine, but after I got her home I just couldn't break her apart. I think I made a good decision, so far she likes to be driven hard and hasn't complained.

Woah, it looks great in silver. Is it a Verde? It has the spoiler and the wheels, but your signature says 'Milano Gold'..

Well, the car is a bit of an anomaly at the moment, but aren't most Alfas a little quirky? What I know thus far:
1) The prior owner, my mechanic, and my insurance company all tell me it's a Gold.
2) The seats, door panels, and most of the trim appear to be that of a Silver, including the badge on the trunk.
3) The spoiler and wheels are from a Verde.
4) I believe the engine to be the original, and it's a 2.5 litre.
So, a Verde it is not. I think it's a Gold that maybe had a Silver donor car some time in the past? I would assume that the VIN will tell me the base model for sure, but I don't know how to decode it.

Woody,
I have access to Carfax. If you really want to know, PM me with your VIN and email address where I can send the report.

Ahh, good call! I forgot that CarFax would show that. I have a CarFax report on the car already, but I left it at work. I'll check it tomorrow and solve that mystery at least!

CarFax says it's a Gold. I do remember reading somewhere in the vast BB archives that some Gold models shipped with Silver trim. Maybe that's what's going on here.
