fbonatto,
Are you also one of those guys I'm always stuck behind who slows down to a near stop at the sight of an auto accident?

I read some article saying your brain slows down when seeing pictures of porn or of gore. It apparently has a sort of processing bottleneck because its either trying to figure out - am I gonna get some or get it? (depending on what you're seeing obviously). So that's one of the reasons why people slow down at accidents.

No, I take photographs for the newspaper and i heard of the crash, got to the scene within a few minutes, parked my car in a driveway and ran to take pics.

No offense fbonatto, but I don't think this stuff is really a good use of the BB.

Jeff - Maybe it should have been in the offtopic instead of picture room, but I actually find it somewhat interesting. I have a book called "Car Crashes and other Disasters" that shows 40's wrecks a lot less violent than this one that ended in multiple fatalities. I like seeing how modern cars treat themselves and their occupants. That applies to all drivers.

I also posted because of how interesting and well designed i found the crumple zone of the BMW to be. Both were EXTREMLY lucky to be in such safe cars. If the BMW driver was in another car he would have probably been killed. The buick was a bit iffy because it hit towards the front of the car but obviously the impact beams in the door may have pretecter her legs from being crushed. As he said, this is relevant to drivers in general.

Not to hijack the thread, but Judge, I'd have to put Manuela at the top of my list. Stunning.

Everyone has a morbid curiosity and likes to see smashed up cars - That's why NASCAR is so succeful! A-OH!
But just don't forget that people were in there, and while they were ok this time, many times there is an extreme amount of pain that goes along with accidents.
