A car show to broaden your tastes
Here are some pics of the Lexington area car show from last weekend. Some truely great cars there.....but alas only one Italian ride But I got some respect for us all and took home a trophy among a sea of true rednecks. Is that one of them there EYE TALE YUNG jobs......Yes, it is....go away In all seriousness, some really impressive rides, rare rides, and unique customs. So here the onslaught of pictures begins.

Since the show was sponsored by a huge country music station....Good ole Alan Jackson (country music singer) graced the show with a couple of his cars. This one is truely unique. An Amphicar?

But the car of Alan Jackson's that I really liked....worshipped......idolized.......burned a sacrafice for was his perfect 53 Corvette.

But there were some representations from Europe even though I had the only Italian car in a show of nearly 400 cars. One porsche, one VW bus with camper top, one old Mercedes (30s-40s) roadster, a few MGs. This MG caught my eye. Look what is stuffed under the hood. A 350 V8!

Here are a few unique cars that you hardly ever see anymore. This is a Nash.

Of course the big draw to these shows is the old muscle cars. They were every where. Custom and stock 60s and early 70s vintage Mustangs, Camaro SS, Chevelle SS, etc were around every corner. Here is a great example of a Camaro SS convertible.

My personal favorite of the show in regards to the old muscle cars was this 62 Corvette. It was incredible.

A novelty car from the muscle era. But alas, Starsky and Hutch were not to be found.

A great example of a luxury car of the past. This old Cadillac was extremely clean.

I cooked that whole day and judging from the competition I had figured I was about to get my a$$ handed to me. By the grace of the Alfa gods and Enzo's ghost himself, this little ride won a trophy.

Hey Anthony:
I remember that fool with the cap. Him and his stupid buddy kept getting in my shots. I was so dam tired from cleaning the car all night, I cussed him under my breath......but it came out a little louder than meant.
