Anthony,

That is exactly how it goes. Whenever I see another Alfa.....I have this overwhelming feeling come over me and then I must follow it. I will drop whatever I am doing and track them down. Its fun. I always like catching them the best when I am driving my 78, that way I can say..."you want to race?"

Best Regards,
John M

An Amphicar?
Yup! - thats an amphicar - always wanted me one of those - but its getting really rare and expensive. Developed and built in Germany, powered by a Triumph Herald 1247 cc engine. The car has two propellers, the doors have double seals, and as long as they are tight - the car actually does sail!

Thanks for sharing the pics - looks like a great show. And congrats on the prize!

The Kallista is a Panther - a small British cottage industry manufacturer of the 70's and 80's - The Kalista was based on Ford Granada Mechanicals IIRC, and was supposed to be a top-notch quality for a small manufacturer. I think it replaced the Lima...

FWIW - In the end of the eighties I think that company was sold to a Korean? owner that made some real waves with the Solo - a rather sophisticated for the day mid-engine design, but it went underwater after that (or at least disappeared from view).

http://www.pantherclub.co.uk/ for details.

Interesting cars... (I love British cottage industry cars)

Ron.

Wink

Is it just me, or does the Starsky and Hutch Ford Torino draw its influence from the Montreal. You know, kind of a Montreal on steroids.

I just drove past an Amphibicar today on my way home from work.

Good work on bringing one home for us EYE-talean car lovers.
