Picture Constest!
Hey guys, I'd like to propose some sort of a picture contest. Maybe we can have everyone post their best picture (must be taken by you), un-altered, and of a single alfa ONLY. One picture per contestant. Then we can have posters vote on their favorite one and maybe it can be featured somewhere on the site.
Just a though.
I think it'd be fun

Good idea. I think it is best to send the pictures to one emailadress, so they can be posted at a certain date anonymously to make the vote as objective as possible.

Yeah that makes sense. I could take care of the pictures (have lots of free time) and i would keep a spreadsheet of file names and submitter names. I would post all the pictures without the submitters information (allthough some may be obvious because of the cars).

Good idea, but maybe the subject in the photo shouldn't be restricted to just one Alfa. How about if we say it needs to be Alfa Romeo related. That way we'll get more intresting photos...

Hmmm, how many images can each individual submit? I'm thinking 3.

Why do I get the feeling that this Alfa photo contest idea is going to quickly turn into an anything italian photo contest then eventually into this thread? The Other Great Passion of Italy....Italian Women!

I voted for this concept. Why make it more complicated? Simple, sweet, easy to monitor and to the point.

I am with you on this one. Just keep it simpel. One picture, one alfa. (I would even say: one picture of your alfa )

I'd also suggest that no photoshopping is allowed, but cropping is okay.

I'm with MAC on this one - Picture of ANY Alfa, taken by you.
So when do we start submitting and how will the judging be done? I guess that as folks post, they could assign themselves a number in sequence to previous posters so voters can identify them. After a certain period of submission (say, a week or two), we can have a voting period of the same length. Votes can then be collected and counted, and winner announced. What does the winner get, a TZ?

I think we need to hear from simon first on weather or not this is a go.
Rules will be as follow:
No Photoshop
Photo can be of ANY alfa but only if taken by you
One photo per participant
pictures of one alfa only (photos with other alfas or cars that were unavoidable are ok)
Photos should be submitted to fbonatto@gmail.com, I will host them annonymously with generic names, make a new thread for voting, and keep track of score.
Thanks,
Fred
