Under the gun, but almost done!!

Here are pics of my '67 GTV vintage race car as of midnight last night. I'm supposed to load this puppy up on my trailer and head to Watkins Glen Wednesday morning. Lots of things to button up, but the car looks great. I can't wait to see how she runs!

More pics of the Zippo Grand Prix @ The Glen to follow, along with in-car race video...hopefully!!

WOW! That car looks great. I like the Horst Kwech style water inlet on the cyl. head. We demand more pics!

That engine and engine bay are a vision of perfection! Cant stop staring at it.

Please post more images of the car and any detail shots you may have.

Most racers run with minimal filtration on the intake. Any bad long term effects? Like poor leakdown or poor compression after many racers due to dirt (like quartz) scratching the liners?

Peter,

Nice job on the intake manifold, care to share your method of fabrication on the flaired curved tubing ?. Have you seen an improvement in cooling or detonation when using that style of water manifold? I would guess that any trapped air is more thoroughly bled out of the head casting.

Good stuff, Paul van der linden

I can't wait to see it, Saturday.

AND in October at Gingerman (hint, hint).

The interesting thing- I may try to copy the car, since I have basically the same thing in my back yard. I like the interior and engine bay paint job.

Eric
