Wow - that changes the whole car. Nice.

It reminds me a bit of the spider in this photo I found - is this the same color you think? Someone here suggested these are "melber" wheels from the 80's.

Keyspider --- that looks great! It's probably one of the best looking Series 2 Spiders, in my opinion. What size are those new boots?

Was looking through this thread and noticed the parts car. Any chance you still have and would be interested in parting with the bumpers?

Yep, still have it and am working on it. Restoration wise.
Rear was bent beyond repair anyway!

keyspider,

What a beautiful '74!

I really like those Panasport wheels too. The hardtop looks a bit ungainly on such a lithe spider...but better in the "color matched" version.

I know what you are saying about the battery not looking correct but it should be more important that it performs as YOU expect it to. Why not get a polished case for the Optima? that would match your valve cover.. or they have black or blue battery boxes... just some thoughts...hmm.. or maybe move it to the trunk for better weight distribution...

Hi Keyspider,
Albeit belatedly... sweet looking Spider! I noticed on your engine shots that you have had to replace the caps for the Ate brake fluid reservoir. May I ask you where you got them from? It seems that all the standard suppliers are only selling the whole reservoir assembly nowadays.

Ciao,

Seb.

Keyspider - Beautiful car! What's the paint code/name for the blue? My 66 Duetto is dark blue with a burgundy interior & I'm curious if it's the same blue.

Alfaseb.
I have no idea about the caps... they were on it when I got it... so 7 years ago now!

JohnB:
Prussian Blue is what the paint code says... I believe it was painted in the original color.... AR 323 I think... some 15 years ago I am told!
For color info see here...

Hi Dave and thanks!
The interior is a bit messy at the moment....

I have new door trims ready to go on but hope to do the seats first.
I am also trying to find the correct door handles as it has later ones at the moment, and I dont like them!
By boot cover do you mean the soft top boot?
If so it was with the car when I got it, but they are available... at a price!
