Thanks. Those are a couple of paintings I did a while back. The "Chickenboy" is taken from the Farmer's Almanac and the other image is from a Max Ernst collage.

My apartment isn't all that small but my diminutive rent allows me to do things like buy Alfas. Wouldn't have it any other way!

It is cool to actually see photos of everyone. Now I'll be able to recognize you when you show up to the National Convention. By the way, I do have couch and/or floor space if any one needs a place to sleep/stay during the festivities.

Hmmm... to be at the national convention, I'd need to become a member of AROC, right? Better switch my savings into high gear!

Eh, not really. I'm sure you wouldn't be turned away. I wasn't a member when I went to the Portland Convention.

You should join AROC though.

Yes, Yes, very cool art indeed Damian!

Hopefull me and the crew make it up up north for the convention since I've never been to one.

Who do I talk to to get a press pass?

Not to derail the thread too much here, but we should have a BB party at the national... And possibly a caravan up there for those of us moving north along the Pacific.

Haha... I just looked at the AROC website and they mention "Airfare." I don't think my Alfa will fit in carryon luggage, though.

before and after....

Well, here is the before (March, 2004) and the after (late Dec, 2004). I had a haircut sometime after the March shot, then let it grow for the next quite a few months. (Hair blowing in the wind in the Spider.... And hair on top of my head, too.) Then I broke my glasses. Then I got new ones and the same day visited the beauty shop where my curls were cropped, top and bottom, and I arrived home without warning. When I knocked on the door (oh clever me) my adopted daughter of 5 yrs, having never seen me beardless, went off to get someone in authority, as there was some strange man on the porch. Little did she dream.....

Of course, it having been 23 yrs since I was shaven, none of my kids knew what I looked like. I had a blast. But my wife was spared; not feeling quite well, she was sacked out when I arrived home and I gave her a good audio cue that it was me, wonderful me, who had arrived home. She looked up and dropped her jaw smack into the pillow. You see, she has only known me beardless for a few months of the 27 yrs we've been married. But she still tolerates me, and occasionally even smiles.

Alex....don't tell. The rest of the local Alfa club doesn't know, either.

LMAO, that is too funny Michael.
How long did it take your kids/wife to warm up to you afterwards?

Hey Jim,

Don't you have a picture of the attending BB members taken at the AROC Convention in New Hampsire?. Maybe post this?
