Congrats on the GTV6 purchase, it looks awesome!

It is a bit red, but this is exactly what the 1987 Grand Prix models looked like.

The kit is fibreglass so the only way would be to repaint it.... but it might look odd. I would suggest painting the grille a gunmetal colour like i did on my Alfetta, but i wouldnt do much more, it will grow on you

I was thinking of blacking-out just the centre 'rib' of the bumper (if the Zender bumper shape is conducive to it), the strip along the door, the grille, and the plenum cover at the base of the windshield.

I see that the GP model has a different grille anyway. The grille seems solid around the headlights and also on the sides of the protruding section. A 'standard' grille has the slats all the way across to the headlights.
