Outside of the main show, there was a roped-in area with a smaller, but interesting gathering of italian cars like this Fiat.

A 1978 Spider revised with early stainless bumpers. I took lots of photos of this car, since mine will be similarly converted.

Rce car #56 is a T33 and appears to be an early car with flares added later, circa 1968-69. Will someone please find the really nice 2600 spider the chrome rocker panel strips?

Looks like a lot of sweet cars except for that GTV with the V8, it looks hitteous. I can deal with the engine swap, but MTV's "Pimp My Ride" could have done a better job with the exterior.

Those are great pics of very nice cars. Apparently the GTV was used to cut the grass before the event.

The outside show was the Italian Happening.
In 2007, the National Convention will take place at the same time as these shows- as part of it, actually. Should be pretty interesting, and hopefully we will get some of the same cars.
Our concorse should be on Saturday, with Meadowbrook on Sunday. We have agreement that Alfa Romeo will be the featured mark at Meadowbrook in 2007.

Meadowbrook Concours d'Elegance
That GTV w/ the 5.0 liter Mustang motor was at the Manchester convention last year. I think it won something in the concours in a special category for "converted" cars or something. It certainly was quick!

Great pictures, great day. Though I am "suspicious" isn't the 2600 Spider, body by Touring, missing a polished stainless steel rocker trim; and that "Fordomeo" was more about smokin', than cutting the grass. RK
