according to the yahoo groups forum, wes ingram's red rider gtv may have ran a 1:42 which should be FTD with his spica slide throttle motor...

Wes was fastest time. There were quite a few under 1:50's. Rico's time was good considering he hasn't had a chance to drive much this year.

question about T33
Does anyone know what kind and size tires were on the #39 T33? (kind of obscure question I realize)
If not, does anyone on the list know the owner??

Hi Davebert,
The Potlatch time trial results are not on their website yet. I ran in group 1, did a 1:49 something with my 1976 SPICA Spider, and was 4th in class C. Someone said Wes Ingram turned a 1:42, and I remember hearing at the trophy presention that this was FTD. The fastest time at the autocross was 52 seconds (by me, old age and treachery overcame youth and skill...).

I couldnt find the drive that day. Any information on the car or owner would be very much apprieciated. Against what majority of alfisti people was tell me, I'm building a hot spica motor GTV myself. I was really discourage with the power and drivability untill I saw this one run on the track. There may be some hope yet.
Here are some pics of the motor. Looks like stock cast ex and intake manifold with standard airbox. It was pulling very very hard on long PR straights.
Thanks

The T33 is part of Greg Whitten's collection. See www.pbase.com/threefourfive/20050319_whitten
The motor for the T33 was done by Carlo Durante of Alfa of Tacoma, who had to use all his Italian connections to get the necessary parts.

Did anyone get photos of my Milano becoming a 3 wheeler??
or before that, when it was zigging through turn 1. I heard I was lifting the rear inside wheel.
I did crash it in front of people at start/finish. Not lost back in the woods.

I turned away at the wrong moment then heard a "gasp" from the crowd. Turning around, I see your Milano suffering great pains!! Great pains!!

Ron, thanks for the photo.
Rob, I appologize for not pre-announcing my mechanical failure so you could watch me GRIND to a halt. The sound from inside the car sounded "real expensive".
This should go under "you know your Alfa loves you" since the damage was really minimal. Drove it 1,500 miles home with no problems.
And, on the track I was finally getting some clean laps in and was closing in on 2:01, maybe even closer to 2:00. The car did a 2:02 the lap before I broke and it was only my 3rd clean lap of the day. DARN THE LUCK. Might've got a trophy.

I saw it and was amazed that nobody get hit by the tire. I thought the damage would be much worse than it was too.
Paul these milano's are tough cars and you can testify!
