Simon,
It's been 3 months since your last update, have you made any progress on your repairs?

Hey Gifford hows it going?
Unfortunately I haven't done much. The month of December was mostly dedicated to eating and spending time with family.
Right now the cars tub is sitting in my driveway under a tarp and the engine pieces are cleaned and sitting in my garage. I still have to buy all my engine rebuild stuff.
As soon as this rain clears I'm gonna get back on track and attack this project.
Stay tuned and thank you for checking in.

If you are still doing work on it this summer, I would be glad to come by and help you out...

Rain hasn't stopped yet, but I'm keeping a keen eye on this thread... ready by Concorso, Simon? Best of luck!

Well I have been so busy with things that I haven't touched the car for some time until today. I basically have been debating back and forth if I'm ready to commit my time that I don't really have and the finances to give it a decent restoration. Anyhow I figure a little more striping wouldn't hurt. The photos basically show where I'm at.

some more pics of the tear down.
I'm amazed and happy that there is no rust or rot in the front wind tray.
The drivers side floors seem to be fine but the passenger side is wasted. The rot happened because the rubber drain tube was busted and let water spill and sit there when it was stored outdoors before I bought it.

Today I also attacked tearing the headliner and padding out.
Little by little... slow and steady progress.

I have also finished breaking down the motor, all the main pieces washed and now I'm collecting the new bits. Here is the motor all cleaned up and sporting some 45's that need rebuilding.

Looks good Simon, a little every day, even if it is just organizing things, goes a long way and helps with the financing because it gets so spread out.

It's coming along nicely, Simon. Looks like you've rebuilt the motor already? With some 45s it should be a real kick in the pants!
Next step: paint it BLACK like you always wanted!
