Poor old Spider...
Saw this Spider today, Oct 7 2008, in the Palm Desert (California) 'Best Buy' parking lot (around 4:45 PM?).
The amazing thing is, I saw it last week as well and got real happy as after living here for 12 years or more I have seen exactly 5 Spiders, and each one just a single time.
This poor thing looks worn and beat up. But, it's another Alfisti in my neighborhood, and that's enough for me.
C'mon, a little buffing out and she's a real beaut! Wish I had left a calling card under the wiper blade and the alfabb.com name. Darn!

Spotted a couple of nice older Spiders in Santa Barbara this week.
A couple in a beige car on Carrillo stopped at a light. I was in the GTV6 and gave a toot on the horn and got a nice wave.
Spotted a beautiful red spider yesterday, covered headlights, kamm tail. I was driving the Volvo when I pulled up next to him and said "Nice Alfa!"...he looked at me like I was from Mars

Oklahoma and Arizona
I drove to Tulsa Thursday to catch a flight to Phoenix, and saw a beautiful red S2 Spider on the turnpike. The couple were out for a jaunt in a beautifully restored car, definitely not a beater like mine.
Saw a clean S3 parked at a residence in Jerome today while buzzing from Cottonwood to Prescott. Same car was there 6 mos. ago on my last family visit.

Just finished National Lampoons European Vacation.
List of Alfa Spottings:
Smacked straight on to a Super Wagon
Get an Alfa 75 clone with a man stuffed in the trunk in Italy.
Then a whole managerie of other supers, 75s, 33s, and Suds.
The Polizia showed up in a Mob of 33s right after they dunked the Bug in the fountian.
Still kind of a stupid movie...

Red S3 Spider on Pomorado Road in Scripps Ranch area of San Diego while in the black Spider. I ran to three soccer matches and saw it again on Aveneida Magnifica and did the Alfa wave to the driver.

leaf Peeping Sightings
Greetings: After leaving the AROC CT chapter breakfast, we continued farther north to soak in the sunshine and wonderful fall colors form our Spider. While we were partaking a bit of chocolate at a Kent, CT store front seating area, we spied a beautiful off-white Spider Veloce traveling north on Rt 7. Later, while walking through town, we saw it parked and took the photo below. There was an AROC sticker on the passenger quarterlight. Yours?
Hours later, while traveling north from Norfolk on Norfolk Rd, we passed a red S3 spider traveling south. Whoosh! Did you see our black S4?

Montreal in Donald Duck
Donald Duck featuring Alfa Montreal! Published in Finland in the 70's. A fellow alfa enthusiast posted this on the finnish AlfaBBS. Don't know if it's old but anyway, enjoy!
1st panel, Guy with pipe in mouth: "I'll just get the wagon out.."
2nd panel, Donald duck: " Yeah, it'll probably be some old bull drawn wagon then..."
Louie: "Stop whining. Anyway it's better than going by foot!"
3rd panel, Donald: "So is THAT what he just called a wagon!!?"
Guy with pipe in mouth: "I call it wagon, because it's a bit old fashioned"
4th panel: "Wow, wicked!!"
5th panel, Guy with pipe in mouth: "Yeah, it'll do 125 mph once the engine gets warmed up properly!"
6th panel, Nephew 1: "Well this is pretty fast!" Nephew 2: "Is your stomach feeling any better, uncle Donald?" Donald: "I cant really tell right now, not while we're doing this speed!!"

I see a red S3 going up and down Towson Ave. in Fort Smith, AR a couple of times a week. It has a luggage rack on the stern that looks to be correct.

I was heading north on PCH somewhere between Malibu and Point Magoo yesterday in my Silver '74 Spider. Saw a yellow Spider (late s2 or s3 I think) heading south. I waved and honked but the sun was in my eyes, so I'm not sure if I got a response. Great day for a drive though.

Saw Andy Stebins' 2000 GTV on Arroyo Pky. in Pasadena.
Couldn't get close enough to wave.

I saw a red Montreal on the 118 west this morning. It was the first time I've ever seen one on the road. It looked great.
