Dan didn't say much other than it was there for some engine work. We looked under the hood and the owner had replaced the factory intake with what looked like a K&N type filter, but the intake ducting doesn't fit quite right, so Dan's going to see what he can do. Other than that it's pristine. I think the owner lives in Tijuana. There are many wealthy Mexican nationals that live on both sides of the border and we get to see what they drive.

This time it was there for a bad alternator, Dan says it's super fast but kinda squirrelly when pushed hard.

Today on the mission beach bridge by the Hyatt she in a white 164L, me in my spider going opposite directions, we wave and I realize that this is the same girl I saw one year ago while I was in my white 164L at the Gordon Birsch parking lot in mission valley. Who is this enigma? About 20 minutes later as I'm walking to the mission beach board walk a gray GTV6 with a father and daughter drive east from the beach past the Bahia. Two Alfa's in less than a half an hour...

Lovely Sunday Morning
Beautiful Sunday morning in the Northeast: I ventured down to the NYAROC Sunday Breakfast. The two pictures below are from my ride home. 1960 2000 Spider (black) and 1964 Gulia Sprint GT (red) ahead of me on the LIE. Red 355 sounding fantastic ahead of me on the Merritt parkway in CT.

Yesterday 3:30ish PM, on Duboce @ Valencia a white Giulietta spider going in the opposite direction - caught my wave late and waved back after it passed. About 40 seconds later on Valencia at 17th, red '69 (?) GTV racer with cage and yellow wheels - didn't notice me in my Alfetta. I know the driver of the GTV is on this BB, but I can't recall his handle at the moment.
I guess this means Monterey is in the air...

Was that also your Giulia Spider that was on its way into Half Moon Bay on Hiway 92 this morning? Also saw a red 164L twice in San Jose and Santa Clara.
With all the cars on the move prior to the events at Monterey, there were plenty of classics and exotics to spot. Between San Mateo and San Jose on 280 we saw a number of beauties, including a poor Pantera driver who got selected out of a crowd by a Chippie.
Yesterday, on Hiway 101 between Santa Maria and the Monterey turnoff, we saw an XKE, a Bentley convertible, a couple of Rollers, a flame red Rotus Elise, several late model Ferraris, a 1920's open touring car that came at me too fast to get a good look, a Lancia convertible, a GT3 Porch-a, a Trans Am Camaro, and several others.
It's going to be a fun weekend.

Saturday a super nice 74 S2 in dark blue pulled up to my 89 Veloce. Owner stated that since it was pre smog he did some nice things to the motor.

Yesterday a red 164L parked on Greenford drive in the Mira Mesa community of San Diego. Very clean, should have stopped to check it out.
