Perfect appearing Red Giulietta on a trailer pulled by a truck North-bound on highway 680 at the highway 4 interchange in Martinez, CA ... beeped the Volvos horn a few times - looked like it belonged in a museum!

Movie sighting...does that count?? Caught the 1990 movie "Miami Blues" on TV today. Jennifer Jason Leigh is wearing a tank top with an Alfa Romeo badge patch on the front for the first half hour of the movie. I figured there had to be another Alfa/Alfa-reference in the movie, and sure enough, in the last 15 mins. Alec Baldwin carjacks a red Milano.

I had a near hat trick yesterday.
I saw a porsche 356
and within a few blocks I saw.
An Alfetta Sports sedan. Old guy driving it. sounded good.
And an S3 spider.

The Sprint was driven by Steve Smith and the Spider also belongs to the Smith family. They were, indeed, returning from Concorso. There are some photos and info about the Sprint here: http://greend.com/Alfa_pix_1.htm
On a related Alfa spotting note, Wednesday, August 15, my wife and I took our GTV on a drive north of Seattle, Washington. We went from Sequim to Port Townsend, took the ferry to Whidbey Island, drove to Anacortes, then paid a visit to Wes Ingram and Herb Sanborn. On the way home across Whidbey, we passed within about 10 feet of a silver Spider. I stuck my hand out the window and waved like crazy. The other driver didn't appear to notice. Is 501 red so common as to now be invisible?

My 91 spider was at the local Porsche dealer (where my displaced Alfa mechanic now has to slave over mass produced over priced vunderkars) and saw a 78 and 88 Spider and a 67 Giulia in showroom condition. I gotta start carring a camera....

4:00 pm today leaving Home Depot parking lot in Emeryville. I was on my motorcycle - so it's doubtful you noticed me too...

Arctic Alfa
Can't imagine there are too many Alfas above the Arctic Circle, but I stumbled across this one parked in front of a pub in Tromsų, Norway last Thursday night.

I spotted a nice blue Giulietta? on I80 today in Dixon 09/09/07 about 5:45pm headed towards Sacramento. Driven by a solo gentleman with the top down. Gave you a honk from the Black 164 Q4 and a thumbs up! Nice car!

Driving home last week I saw a new Black Alfa GT followed a few cars later by a Brera. Ain't life great in the UK. Same trip back home after working on Saturday morning I saw an Alpine A110 followed a few kilometers later by a Flaminia Zagato. Neither of the pics are the actual cars, but I thought I would post them in case there are those who don't know either car. I was so excited after seeing the cars I almost wet myself.
