Is that rust under the windows? Seems like a good candidate for restoration, but aren't you looking for a decent daily driver?

I picked up a nice driver last week. They're the 74 GTV and 87 Spider in my signature. This might be a good car to clean up and put on eBay. I didn't look too close, but I assume it's got some rust in the usual places.

You guys in Calif. got GTV's floating around over there like we have Toyota's over here. Know that's just not right.

So just who was driving their red spider with tan top south on I-75 in Northern KY? Looked like a series 4....but just caught a glimpse.
Best Regards,

Spotted a sharp red GTV6 exiting 280 South at El Monte at about 3:45 PM. Anyone on the BB?

Not me, but I'm there (Foothill college) nearly every day in my sort of Red Milano Verde at around 7 am and 3 pm. There's also a nice red spider on panasports, and a really original green Giulia Super driven by an older gent on some days.

Woody...Thanks for the kind words
The red '86 GTV6 happens to be mine. I started using the V6 several months back to make the commute up to San Mateo (9:30am then back by 3:30pm) Its been an absolute joy to drive even though I never seem to spot another Alfa...until yesterday that is...when I happened to join up with a '79 (?) Silver Sprint Veloce or Alfetta sporting Ronal A1 wheels. It was great to drive with another Alfa (especially same body style) from El Monte all the way to San Mateo where the person took an exit just prior to mine.
It was a great, clean looking Alfa !!!

Wow! An Alfa spotting where someone on the BB acknowledged that it was their car! Cool!

The silver one is mine. It is a '75 Alfetta GT. It was fun to see another Alfa on 280.

Yay! I found a BB'er finally!
It seems like every time I drive that stretch of 280 I see an Alfa of some type, or an Aston Martin. That day I saw a Vanquish *and* your GTV6. Wierd.
Anyway, nice car Triestino! I was driving my Milano coming up on your left quarter as you exited; it would have been hard for you to see me.

Danny,
You have a wonderful looking Alfetta. I have owned one in the past and really miss the nimble handling of the early cars. Hopefully, I'll own another one in the future. Hope to meet up again on the road or possibly at one of the ARA events. I vaguely remember seeing your car at the APE swapmeet. Unfortunately, I was catching-up with some old friends and never got around to looking at any of the items for sale.
Woody,
Thanks for the compliments! I started using my GTV6 about four months ago as a daily driver and have enjoyed every minute behind the wheel. I'll probably switch to my Vanagon soon as the rainy days are starting to reveal some of the crazy 280 drivers once more.
Funny thing you mention that you see Aston Martin cars on 280. I just happen to see two this morning driving northbound. One, a dark gray Vanquish and the other a light blue newer Aston that I haven't seen before.
Great looking cars.
Safe Driving and Hope To See You Both Soon!

I was lucky enough to park next to a 164 today. In the hopes that i'd meet the owner I parked with the front facing the best direction. As I was about to enter my car the owner came up and we had a chat.
Mayfair mall, Victoria, nice looking 164.
First Alfa spotting of mine when i've actually got to talk to the owner.
