The other day I finally caught up to the black 164 I've seen several times from a distance. It was a middle aged woman at the gas station refueling. I pulled in in my red '71 Spider and stopped in front of her. I asked her what year her 164 was; I think she said 1991. I asked her if she ever went to the Alfa meetings (NWAROC). Her answer was "No, my husband has a Ferrari..."
So?????
She had no interest in talking at all.
Unfortnuately I didn't have any of my NW AROC cards with me to give her. They're all in the Acura. How can you drive any kind of Alfa and not think of it as something special?
Dan

I've had several experiences like that. The first one that comes to mind is a guy here who has two 164L's. His reaction to me waiting to talk to him was "are you trying to get hit?"

Sunday, during my lunch break at work, I was watching a special on the classic car show that was going on at the Fairmont Hotel. I saw a few Alfas, but the reporters didn't really give them their fair share of time...

Whoopee! Finally saw another Alfa (besides mine) in Sequim, Washington. Yesterday, May 3, it went zipping past our street on its way toward Dungeness Recreation Area. If you were driving a Champagne or light metallic bronze Spider on Kitchen-Dick road, don't be embarrassed to admit it. We didn't give the road that stupid name.

Friday afternoon, about 4ish, I saw a red S3 Alfa Spider driving on highway 92 towards the San Mateo Bridge toll plaza. You were on the phone and I was afraid to blast the horn, so i just tapped it and you thought I was...crazy.
Gary, your location on the upper-right says California!

Noticed an ivory '74 GTV parked on Park Blvd. in Oakland Tuesday afternoon. Looked really nice. Didn't have time to stop and look (still on the clock ). If it belongs to anyone here, drop me a line. I live in the neighborhood.

I saw this S2 Spider in a parking lot on West Temple between 200 and 300 South at about 6:00pm today.
If you're reading this, I'm the guy that left the car show/Italian car club fliers on your car.
