Sounds like Dan Ritter. He's in the local club and has had that car for a long time.

82ish Green Alfa Spider w/ headlight covers and topless (yes!!) going across Valley/Bernal on Stanley Blvd. towards Livermore. I honked and flashed my lights, but it was probably too dark and i was going in the perpendicular direction. I've talked with this guy before when I was in my GTV6. Anyone know him?

I still find it surprising how few people on the BB respond that their car has been spotted on this thread. It probably means that there are many more Alfa owners out there who do not participate in the BB !! We need to recruit them. The BB is good for all Alfa owners and will help to grow the enthusiasm around these great little cars. Maybe we should put a card under the wipers of these cars?

I've been telling Alfa owners around here about the AlfaBB. A couple of friends of mine are lurking (you know who you are), but most people I've told about it don't sign up.

Spotted a nice red spider this past Friday entering 280 South from Leigh Ave area at around 5PM. Top was down, driver had a dark shirt. Passed me in my Milano going probably 80 as I took the Meridian street exit. I beeped and waved, but he didn't acknowledge.

Just saw a nice red S3 Alfa Spider (maybe a graduate) on the Maalox commercial. It dodged underneath an 18 wheeler and came out the other side. Anyone else see this? It was on Court Tv at about 9:52ish.

Saturday I took the Spider out of the garage and into the sunshine to do a little work on it. While puttering around out there, I hear the sweet sound of a sports car going down the road. Next thing I know the sound is approaching up the drive and around the trees I spot a very clean '78 Spider. The owners name is Dan and he stopped because he had spotted my car in the drive. We checked out each others cars and talked for awhile. He'd never heard of the board so I pointed him in this direction. Really hope he joins as hes very knowlegable about not only Alfas but other italian cars too. Due to the excitement of meeting another owner in such a strange way, I regret that I completely forgot to snap a couple of pictures to post!
Best Regards,
Paul

Boy... I'm glad I joined before I read this! I actually joined the BB last Thursday (two days before R.G. [alfa75 88] posted his comment). So, I'm officially no longer a lurker. "Long time listener, first time caller" I guess you could say. It is true though, I've been tuned in for about a year. I'll probably go back to lurking though... lurkers don't have to eat their words. I do tend to talk a lot, so we'll see.
