A pic of my GTA Junior in Australia
Here is a pic of my 1965 GTA Racing in period in Australia. The car was delivered new from Autodelta and has always been a racecar. Originally part of the Australian race team under Alec Mildren and raced by Frank Gardner
and Kevin Bartlett. Raced equivalent of US Trans-am and holds several lap records. Now under restoration to original spec.
Just for interest.
Cheers

Correction.
As many will have worked out this is not a shot of a GTA Junior at all, but the description is correct. This is my 1965 GTA Autodelta, and it has the series 1 slide block fitted, this was a perforated steel frame arrangement and not like the later alloy version at all. I have never seen another one.
I will take some pics when I can crawl under it!
Regards

Andrew, what engine do you have with the car ? I heard (and perhaps incorrectly) that she had at one stage received a V8 of some sort.

Welcome to the site Andrew!
Do you have any recent images of the car?

A GTA in Australia raced with a Repco Brabham F1 engine for a period ... I believe.
There are pictures somewhere on this site.

More on Alfa GTA in Australia
In answer to several questons and replies:
This car is chassis AR 752 561 ( I also briefly owned AR 752547). It made in July 1965 and is about to have its 40th birthday. It has run with several engines starting with a wide-angle twin plug Autodelta (not mono sleeve
and I an rebuiding the engine now), a 1600cc narrow angle GTA F2 engine (I still have this engine and it also ran in a Brabham copy known as the Mildren 1.6), a 1900cc narrow angle turbo engine, and a 2l
tipo 33 engine (it was this engine that ran in a Brabham open wheeler known as the Yellow Submarine. All these special things were with the MILDREN RACING TEAM and Alec Mildren had a very special relationship with the factory. He also had the protoptype TZ2 the only car made in aluminium and now in the USA.
Takis, the shot you posted was taken same day I think and it is my GTA being followed by the Cooper S of Brian Foley (who later bought the GTA.... if you can't beat 'em....).
I will provide some current shots soon.
Cheers

Really is GTA Junior this time.
This is my 1968 GTA Junior chassis AR 776043 manufactured in 1968 and sold new in Germany, original 116,000kms (approx 72,000 miles) original trim and paint but some small dents here and there. Has been converted to RHD for Australia ( easy to change back later if required).
Cheers

Incredible! My brother and I own AR 752 557.....our GTA's were on the assembly line together! Our car was built on July 11, 2005 and sold new to Alfa Romeo Great Britain on July 22, 1965.

More chassis and delivery details
Anthony,
Interesting that your car and the two here were all white!
Perhaps July was a white paint month. Are there any July built RHD red cars out there?
Chassis AR 752547 made 8 July 1965 (sold new in UK in July also).
Chassis AR 752561 made 21 July and sold new to Australia in August 1965.
AR 752547 has now been painted red and is fully restored. I could not convince the owner to paint it white.
I also believe that there were only 5 RHD Autodelta cars built from the total production of 50 RHD, does anyone have more information on that suggestion?
Regards

Our car is originally red and was painted white back in in the late 70's/early 80's when it was restored. We aren't planning on painting it red any time soon. There are too many red GTA's out there and white looks beautiful on these cars.
I think there were more than 5 RHD Autodelta cars. I hear even the 50 RHD GTA number is incorrect and more like 100 were built. It's just one of those things we'll always assume and never get a real number on.
Is this your car too?

Anthony,
yes that shot is of my car, this time in 1968 being driven by Kevin Bartlett.
He was quite successful in the car. There are quite a few pics at
