'81 spider

Hi All,
Here are some pictures of my recently aquired 81 spider with 84,000 miles on the clock.
The car is in my parent's garage in another province but i managed to take a short break from work to see the folks and the car. This is my first Alfa and so far i'm on cloud 9. It's rock solid through the corners and sqeals tyres from every stop light and sign. I love this car!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It needs some minor body work, new shocks, and assorted interior details to be dealt with but nothing major has cropped up yet.

Hi there, love the car and don't mean/intend to hijack your thread, but I was wondering if anyone could give me a quick I.D. on this car. It's a friend of mines and he lives in Paris (don't know if that makes a difference), and I'm not to sure what year/model it is. Any and all help is very apreciated!

I was thinking it was a '89 Veloce, but the side skirts (Le Mans Areo package?) threw me off into thinking it was a Quad, but then I didn't see the Quad decal on the rocker, so i got a little confuzed.
