Hello there Alfista's,
My name is Shanon and I have hopped over from a classic BMW CS coupe forum (
BMW 3.0cs, 3.0csi, 2800cs, and BMW CSL e9 models coupe site). I am educating myself (obsessing?!) on the ol' Rally Master' type dash mounted timers when I discovered this thread, a great read.
I noticed that some of you who have these rare birds are in Northern CA like me and I am curious if you ever 'show' your cars that I may have a chance to see a 'Master' in the flesh??
I have learned of modern reproductions by Pontifa and Herwins, but have not been able to find a source here in the States, all seem to be in England/Europe.....anybody have an opinion on these repro's?

I am replicating a rally car from the early seventies and seeking function/aesthetics (black face) over authenticity. Heuer authenticity is unfortunatley out of my humble budget.
Any thoughts appreciated, and I love them ol' Alfas!

BTW: In my first vintage race (HSR West @ PIR), I in a big coupe had an epic battle w/ a mustard colored Alfa GTA from SoCal. The mustard Alfa won the battle due to my rookie move 'spinnin' on the final lap....

! Good times! Watch your mirrors for the Essex Brother's BMW Circus at upcoming CA vintage racing events.
