I do not own this modle But I do have a this Case in NOS waiting for a VJ 72 someday. I have a early tri comp.Moon But it needs a bit of work.
I see you have it as bad as me. Thanks for the movement photo too.
I sure did see your Breitlings where NOS with all the stickers. That is really something you have there.
I am a watchmaker and a collector also. I specialize in Chronographs and Regulating.
I am a car guy to. If I was super wealthy I would collect old plains and boats too.
One of the Things I love about watches Besides there History is we dont have to buy Batteries
for them like we do for our cars....
( I know some folks are thinking "Hay I buy watch batteries")
Thank You for your stunning posts and welcome to the BB. Lots of Good people in the Alfa world.

Ahhh...takes me back to my days of sports car rally's. I remember the 3 clocks. the experts all had the big watches and we had the cheapo stop watches. Now where are my Stevens Rally Computer and Tables?? (somewhere in a box).
Thank you for the info on the internals of watches. Now I can look at my BIL watch and smile knowing something he doesn't.
My son bought me for a birthday the Citizen Eco Watch and I loved it so much I got one for my wife as a gift. Any idea where that solar cell is in the face? Keeps perfect time and is a delight to wear. I get comments on how nice it looks often.

You guys have some Heuer Rally Masters!?!

Hello there Alfista's,

My name is Shanon and I have hopped over from a classic BMW CS coupe forum (BMW 3.0cs, 3.0csi, 2800cs, and BMW CSL e9 models coupe site). I am educating myself (obsessing?!) on the ol' Rally Master' type dash mounted timers when I discovered this thread, a great read.

I noticed that some of you who have these rare birds are in Northern CA like me and I am curious if you ever 'show' your cars that I may have a chance to see a 'Master' in the flesh??

I have learned of modern reproductions by Pontifa and Herwins, but have not been able to find a source here in the States, all seem to be in England/Europe.....anybody have an opinion on these repro's?

Holden | Hardware | Timing products

I am replicating a rally car from the early seventies and seeking function/aesthetics (black face) over authenticity. Heuer authenticity is unfortunatley out of my humble budget.

Any thoughts appreciated, and I love them ol' Alfas!

BTW: In my first vintage race (HSR West @ PIR), I in a big coupe had an epic battle w/ a mustard colored Alfa GTA from SoCal. The mustard Alfa won the battle due to my rookie move 'spinnin' on the final lap....! Good times! Watch your mirrors for the Essex Brother's BMW Circus at upcoming CA vintage racing events.
