I'll add Lions road to the ever growing list of must-drives, sunny Queensland is looking mighty tempting at the moment

The pics were snaped at Palm Beach about an hour North of Sydney CBD, its where they film a lot of Home and Away (not that i watch it ). I live in Avalon, which is not far away.

And just in case anyone was wondering, that is not my house or my driveway in that first pic! I wish it was though!

I thought it may be Palm Beach and when I saw the house, I sort of wondered. Shame, great place for a party, me thinks.

Hey there, as I said in my last post, the pics were taken at Palm Beach. I live in Avalon.

What colour is your Sprint GT? I have seen several in the Area. Nice to see another Northern Beaches GTV owner on the BB!

Read the whole thread after I had posted my question about which beach! My GT's maroon... just picked it up through Shannon's last week, drove it up to the Hunter Valley over the weekend and had a ball. My in-laws have the camera at present but I'll get some shots in as soon as I get it back.

I just had a look at the Shannons website and it looks like you got a really nice example! That colour suits the car really well. One day I will own a nice original step front. One day....

Driving thru the Hunter Valley would be blast and it is on my to-do list.
Post the pics up when you get them. We will have to organise a drive up the peninsula one day.

If you do head up to the Hunter in the GTV you should go out of Sydney via Windsor and up the Putty Rd to Singleton. Beautiful twisting road through some pretty spectacular country (and good wine to greet you upon arrival!)

My business partner owns a yellow '76 Spider and lives on Bilgola Plateau. His name's Peter and he spends a bit of time in Avalon, you should say g'day if you see him down there.

Josh, I took the liberty of taking the link from Shannons on your car so that the non Aussies's on the link know what we are on about .

Like the 1600 by the way,

Phil

*marks Putty Rd onto the calendar*

I havent seen the yellow Spider around. Must be a weekend only car? There is a nice Duetto down the road from me, a pale yellow, a silver and a blue GTV 2000 also live near by. I have also seen an unusual purple colour GTV driving around Mona Vale. There is also a woman that drives one of the nicest silver GTV6's I have ever seen. She is one cool mom whoever she is!

Sounds like around my area. I kid you not, I seem to live in 105 country. The road that my street leads into is about 5 km long. Along that road and in streets that back off from it I know of numerous Alfa 105's the majority of which are 1750's . Lets start,

1;well there is my 1750 and my Sprint gt which I found in an adjacent street in someones back yard.

2. about a km up the road and down a street lives a red 68 Series1 1750 Gtv which is fully restored and once won the Qld Concourse. I have driven this car and it is sweet.

3. About 200 metres from me lives a Guilia Super which is being done up and that guy also owns a Alfetta Sportiva.

4. Now somewhere 2km down the road lives an Ochre Series 2 1750. This car is my Moby Dick, I always see it when I am out driving but it is either going in the other direction or I am on foot. I have never seen the car parked and I have no idea who owns it, all I know is that the car lives in the next suburb, I am dying to catch the car at the local Shell or BP one day. She has cromodoras and looks like she has been fully restored.I will get a better look at this car one day.

5 In the same neck of the woods we have a Maroon coloured 1750 series 2, which is a little rough and unoriginal but the car drives well and is owned by a really nice guy, but knows little about 1750's .

6. We used to have an original Olive green metallic Giulia Super, that belong to a local TV weatherman who apparently owned here from new, but tragically that car was written off after some idiot hit him.

Thats it for 105's there used to be a Junior that was in the area but that was sold, oh and I almost forgot my GT Junior which moved to Melbourne last month.

So lets see, that is 4 1750s, 1 sprint GT, 1 giulia super, one former Giulia super, 2 former Gt Juniors, I sportiva alfetta. Oh there is a fully restored Alfetta GTV 2.0 in Silver . And this what I know of not to mention scores of Modern ALFAs. Not bad for one small area of Brisbane. There are more out there I think, but there are no spiders in my patch (that I know of).

Wheel and tire combo is awesome. Look great with that lowering stance.
Not so many people have guts to put 16" into 105.
I'm loving it.
