Thanks again for the comments people!
The masses have spoken, but alas, I have no decent pics of the engine or interior to share at the moment. Believe me, it looks just like any other GTV 2000 interior (except probably half as good due to the hot aussie sun taking its toll over the last 30 years). As for the engine, lets wait until I have polished cam covers........ no wait........lets wait 'till i have the twinspark installed......... yes...... thats when I will have engine pics ready!

Hi Mike! Your car is looking stunning! Congratulations!
Could you inform me about the width of your tires and the height of the car from the road? Thanks!

The tires are 205/45/16 , the rims are 7" wide. They surprisingly do not rub. I haven't had a chance to measure the height of the car, but I do have to be careful because the sump guard does like to smack itself on some of the crappy roads around here. Sump guards are HIGHLY recommended for lowered 105's

Reason: wheels are 7" not 8"

Mike -
Do you find your steering a little heavy with that much tyre? - I suppose alot on here are running at that width for quick street and track but just wondered as I'm about to get new tyres on my car...
I hear you with bottoming out...there's too many sh!tty roads here in Sydney for my liking.Re your sump guards, I've been told that ones with a bit of give are the best to have on lowered cars - no give heavy duty sump guards apparently will end up causing more damage than they prevent.

Hi James
I can't really compare the steering weight as i had 205/60/14 Momo Vegas on the car before. I think the steering is pretty light, definitely more light than my Alfetta sedan by far, but then again the Alfetta has a much smaller aftermarket steering wheel on it.
I'm not sure on variations of sump guards? How many are there? Mine looks pretty solid. I find I hit the guard most is when im going down faster sections of road that have 'humps' on them, it really just scrapes on the lowest part furthest back on the guard, sometimes it sounds pretty devastating, but when i inspect the guard afterwards, it hardly shows a noticeable scratch.

Driving a 3.0L 75 like its stolen is one thing, but driving a 105 coupe in heat is a whole other experience! Yes, ive had a couple 75's but a well sorted 105 is wicked fun at the limits
I try to drive it like a civilised human being but I just cant, it doesnt like to be driven at the speed limit. Thats why I've decided to keep it as a weekend car so I can save my license. My daily drive now is a 1967 Mercedes W108 280s . I wont be getting any tickets in it anytime soon me thinks.

YES, i believe every Alfa lover must own at least one V6 transaxle in their lives wether it be a 2.5 or 3.0L.
Sure the ol' nord 2.oL is a fun motor, but the V6 is intoxicating. The 75 feels like a limousine though in comparison to a 105. Having said that, the transaxle Alfa has the best ride/ handling combination for real world driving I have ever experienced.
Amazingly, I have never been caught in a speed trap!? Where do you live PSk?

Castle Hill ... and I have had my photo taken (stupidly, late for work meeting in Lane Cove), and caught by radar (with my parents in the car taking them to the airport ... so they could fly home , very embarrassing).
Don't see many cops I do have to admit ... but I like radar detectors so when I am not fully concentrating on the feds, and thus driving my normal er, a little too fast ... it saves me.

I've never been done in a speed trap, 18 years of driving on three continents, nothing, zip, bupkis. I must say NSW is way more civilized for speeding than QLD, drove the ALFA down as far south as Ballina the other week. In NSW the cops warn you in advance as to where the speed cameras are, with huge signs. Here in QLD we have mobile random speed cameras mounted in Police 4WD's. You never know where they will be, usually pretty easy to spot if you know what to look for though. Amazing how many people don't know.
By the way, I found an Awesome driving road on that trip. South of Rathdowney (which is still in Qld at the back of the Gold Coast) there is a road called the Lions road, it is a scenic road that the Lions club pays for the upkeep. Anyway this road is great, hilly, narrow tight corners, plenty of hairpins and single lane wooden bridges. Very European, reminded me of the Yorkshire dales actually (another great driving area). Anyway, the road ofically finshes at the QLD/NSW border at the Border Ranges National Park, but from there on the road is through Rainforest and backwoods farm country, with plenty more single lane bridges and curves. Eventually you hit the main road for Kyogle again and then its back to the Pacific Highway.
Well worth the detour if you are heading to Brisbane or going back to Sydney via the pacific highway, especially in a nicely sorted 105
