Alfetta Sedan, in progress

Here she is--not a spot of rust anywhere, a nice eclipse/blaupunkt sound system for use in traffic (a frequent occurance around here), and currently having new 2 tone (light/dark brown) vinyl seat apholstery installed (yes, those are seats from a Milano). The TS engine is currently going through customs....muhahahaha

I'll post updates once the engine starts putting itself into the car. Well, one can hope....

Wow! That's a sweeeet Alfetta! Get TS installed and you will single-handedly create a new market for the poor un-loved Alfetta sedan. Can I have a ride when it's all done?

the car looks really good, but are you going to keep the bumpers and moldings on the car?

I say keep it as it is, the Sedans are rarely seen in such condition (if seen AT ALL)

It's a '78

Oh, and yes, I'm probably going to keep the moldings and bumpers....at least the moldings because the car gets driven and parked in public areas. I took the moldings off my spider when I had it painted last year, and it's already full of SUV-door marks on the passenger side. People around here just don't give a damn. So the moldings are better than having a dinged up door.

The bumpers I'm not so sure about...I'm contemplating the euro ones, but that's lower down on my list--worrying about the engine and interior first.

And thanks for the compliments--she's a rare bird and I'm pround of her

I had a 78 sedan not too long ago, same color....took a while for me to get it running (it had some issue with a cracked intake manifold and bad SPICA), but it sure was fun while I had it. I really like those sedans. Yours looks very nice, love the Panasports on there

Hi,

I am big fan of Alfa sedans and yours is a PRIME example. What a nice car.

Do you really want to replace these nice stock cloth seats with some plastic
ones from a different model??
Especially in CA cloth seats are sooo much nicer. I enjoy them in my Alfa
90 all the time.

Best regards

Hans

Lovely car. Once again, most people are so used to seeing crappy Alfettas that when a nice unmolested one comes along the response is often one of positive surprise. As in, "wow, I didn't remember them being so nice".

The seats that are in there are already from a Milano. The stock seats were removed by the P.O. Frankly, I like the Milano seats better--more supportive for enthusiastic driving. I believe the stock seats were vinyl (or mabye that was an option....)? Anyone who knows feel free to chime in.

Yeah, cloth can be nicer in CA....I debated this for a while. But I really like the way the vinyl/leather looks in a car. In the end, I just have to go with what I want I can always buy seat covers for the summertime sunshine.

New Seats!!!!!!

The sun hasn't been too friendly lately, so the pics aren't as good as I would like. If it's really that important, then you'll just have to drop by and see it!

The goal was to match the inside color to the light brown on the door panels, and the outside color to the dark brown on the carpet and armrests. The dark brown is pretty much an exact match, but the light brown was much more difficult, because the light brown cloth on the door panel has a few different hues to it. It's the same shade, but can look a little different under different lighting. In direct sunlight, they look identical, so I'll take it

More updates soon, if all goes well!

Rebuilt the front suspension over the last few weeks, too....the A-arm bushings were SHOT! No way of really knowing this until you unload the suspension...I thought it was just the ball joints. Man, it rides better than a new car now!!

What a nice alfetta, i wish the body of my car was that rust free. I do have to say that euro bumpers and chrome trimmings look tons better, even if these look great

Beautiful car thanks to examples like this i can see what my car should look like hehe.

I should drop by sometime on the way home from work... I'm down in San Clemente nowadays, home in Irvine.
