More Pictures of my GTAM replica and GTV

Gtam replica took over 6yrs to complete and I thank Warren Coughtwell now with SPARGO for getting me all the necessary parts. John Norman from Northern California for the modified twin spark head, manifold, and carbs. Mesa engine balancing (Miami Fl). Carlos Lopez of Carrera Auto Works for paint. Richard Stephens of Stephens Alfa for building the engine. The engine was Dyno'd at 240hp with a redline of 8,000rpm

The rest of the car I built in my garage with help from Eddy Fontana, and my brother Jose Solis (owner of the yellow GTV witch was previously posted).
I hope everyone enjoy's the pictures.

I have video clips of the car out on the track. But I dont know how to post them.

I am not worthy!!!

Wow!!! Did I say Wow!!!? I meant WOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Not only is your orange 1750 one of the best looking Bertone coupes I have ever seen, and not only did I drool over that very detailed and clean engine (with all the great mods, like the remote oil cooler for example), but that GTAm replica is (to quote the vernacular) THE BOMB!! I LOVE that intake manifold!

Too mucking fuch!!! I have to go change my pants now!

Alex, lmao. You are too funny, but also spot on in your comments. Both those cars are obscenely beautiful. I think everyone knows what I mean. Oops, better go change my pants too.

Agreed, a nice pair of cars. Congratulations!

Could you detail which brake calipers, disks and master cylinder you chose for the GTAm replica?

Would you mind sharing the original application for the orange color? I know it isn't an Alfa color. What is it from? I will be painting my street car in a year or two and never considered anything other than the original navy blue until I saw your pictures!

why do you have an extra oil pressure gauge on your orange 1750? I also noticed that you have a jaeger rev counter and a Veglia speedo. Did you changed the transmission ratio so that you needed a diferente ratio speedo?

Nice cars! very good loking! love to see your GTAm go!

Great Cars

Gtam41
Thanks for sharing these inspirational cars with us. They are incredible. I was wondering what is the most obvious difference btween the twin spark and the hotted up normal alfa 2L. Quickness to rev. torque etc,?? I have always wondered how the twin spark feels in relation to the alfa nord. Also some have said the sliding block doesn't work very well. I find this to be strange considering how many alfa racers still use it. Obviously its only for racing, but what are the advantages with a sliding block as opposed to say a watts link or the normal suspension with racing setup?

Jeff

Alex: The master cylinder is Tilton wth brembo roters and the calipers are alfa stock rebuilt. The car is very light and they seem to work very well with the brake bias inside the car. In the future I am going to put four piston calipers in the front. I use AP600 brake fluid.

Erik: The color that comes close to this one would be the Lamborgini orange. This color was a special mix from a friend who painted the car.
