My GTV6 now with Speedline wheels and 205 tyres
Hi!
I've fitted the 164 Q4 Speedlines to my GTV6. With 205/55/16 Dunlop Sport tyres. Guys, what a difference!!! Nothing like fat rubber to fill these big GTV wheelarches!!!
The 55 profile add a 2% up to the gearing, but still pulls strong and relaxes a bit the highway cruising. The Dunlops are a big inprovement in traction, but the difference in cornering is REALLY HUGE!!!

The GTV6 is made for wider wheels than stock. Your car looks good with those wheels. I changed my wheels and lowered the front end 1.5 inches. The difference in handling is incredible. I have not found the limits of grip and lack the roads (and B@lls?) around here to find it. The car does not drift the way it did with 195 rubber, but the trade off is worth it.

The front ride height is changed by rotating the torsion bars. See this thread for a more complete expanation.

I was also fortunate as the front suspension had been worked on a few weeks previously and the ball joints were easy to remove using a fork type tool loaned from the local parts store. I would suggest getting hold of a decent ball joint remover as this will make life a whole lot easier and keep the skin on your knuckles and rubber booties on the ball joints.

Now it's going back for a total strip down and re-paint so I will have to use the Taurus for a week or so.

I run Yokohama A520's 225/45 zr 16 on my GTV6 GP best road tires I have used so far very cheap performance tire with longer life than it's competitors.
