Late to the Party
I feel like I've just walked into the party a bit late -
Anyway, here are some snaps of my car - I notice there aren't too many 105's in Yellow Ochre around. It got a partial re-build several years ago and I thought about changing the colour but now I'm glad I didn't.
Mostly standard but with re-jigged suspension and very non-standard wheels. It was my regular daily drive until a couple of years ago so it has electronic ignition and starts & runs like new.

That colour is "Giallo Ocra" same as my 1969 1750 Berlina. My Berlina was orginally a light metallic green, but I changed it to this colour as it was so typical of that era.
Those wheels on the car look like the ones made by Smith's Wheels in Germiston South Africa. They were made here from the 80s to the late 90s. I had a set of those on my 1985 119i (Alfa Six Berlina), in 15". They were made in 13s, 14s and 15s and are still available second hand and seen on older cars. It was essentially a copy of a Campagnola fitted to the 2000 Spiders of the time.

That's right, Yellow Ochre - in English.
The wheels are actually some sort of poor imitation - they were called "Bathurst" here in Oz. I have just started a poll in the 105 technical forum to see what I should replace them with. (Should I replace them?)

Hey Solmanic, good taste in cars. If i had the money i would sell my '94 Range Rover and get a Defender Xtreme!
Is it pretty economical with the turbo diesel?

Thanks.
Without wishing to hijack the thread - the TD5 gets 9l/100km average. And like my siganture says, I think a classic Alfa Coupe and a new Landrover Defender are a well balanced garage. I face a dilemma each and every morning

theres been a change in the picture of my 74 spider, there was a tree cut down, the basketball goal is gone, the boat is gone, and the 69 spider under the tarp is now on the ground, my son Dan got it back together enough to take it off the stands.

I start with the base engine from AFLA 75 Turbo 1.8, now are only the piston and the valves are still original.

Peter,
I notice in your list of previously owned Alfas, you include a 76 Sud Ti and an 87 Alfa 33. Was that in Texas? I never knew that they sold Suds and 33s in the USA.
