Here is about the best pic I have of my 33 since she's been repainted. It was taken at night, but you get the idea. Unfortunatley you can still see some of the red bits coz the interior isn't entirely back together I hope to get some more pics up soon!

1957 Spider
Has just under actual 33,000 miles on the chassis, and 12,000 of that has been since I've owned the car the past 8 years. I grew up with this car. Belonged to my parents' best friends. Had tried to get Bob to sell the car to me since I drove it in 1968. Had 18,000 miles on it at the time. When I bought it 30 years later it had logged another 3,000. Bad news is the mechanicals didn't do so well in lay-up. Rebuilt the engine, replaced most electricals, and had the seats recovered. A couple of years ago I repainted it because the lacquer had lots of cracks. Car has run great after a year of repairing/replacing. Is driven every week.
Engine is stock except for Weber DGV carb and head built by Sperry Valve Works with 1750 cams.

My dad bought it in 1984 when I was a 4. He told me when I got my license I could have it. When I was about 6 years old he asked me if he could sell it because someone wanted it. I replied with" "Can we buy a Ferrari if you sell it?" He said no so I let him know the car was not for sale. Today, the car spends most of the time indoors under a cover. Every couple months, I fire it up and take it around the block. The car is s100% original. The "eye brows" are in the trunk. It needs a mechanical restoration. Maybe when the GTA is done, I'll have time to work on it.

Just wondering.... I got my first car in 1986, yet was born in 1964!!!

His friend used to have a 246 Dino GTS at the time so I am assuming I was talking about one of those. Then again, at that age, I was all over the tv show Magnum PI because of the 308 so I coulda been talking about one of those?

Anthony:
I guess I'll give my 84 Spider to my 4 year old son now. Although if a Ferarri comes up it's GONE. The spider not the son. Is it like a savings account in a minors name? Maybe he won't have to pay the excise tax on it until he's 18. Now to dream of what I can do with that $12.50 a year I'll be saving.......

My recently purchased 1980 spider. I've wanted one since I was 18 and it's nice to find that reality is as fun as the dream.

And apparently, I still can't figure out attaching photos to these boards. One thing at a time.

That Spider looks great. Those wheels look really bright, almost like chrome. What finish is on them? Looks good.

Thanks Bill. The wheels actually aren't much to look at. Must be the picture. They're dull and were a little dirty.

My collection in South Africa is no where near as impressive as Greig's but thought I'd post them anyway.
'70 Giulia Super (Race/Road car)
'72 Giulia Super (needs some finishing touches to be a great road car)
'60 Giulietta Sprint Veloce (recently purchased with a full resto planned - joint project with dad)
