Your Spider looks gorgeous! You may have convinced me to put Panasports on my Red Spider...they really 'fit' the style! Bravo!

So here goes: What happened (the aftermath)?
The short version of the story is that no ticket was ever issued. My insurance company took very good care of me and is going after the police department for my deductable and damages.

The situation still makes me mad because if it was anyone else a ticket would have been issued. However, it was an opportunity to get the whole car painted and the body shop ended up doing a good job, so I am ready for a summer of fun.

The hardtop came off about 30 minutes after that picture was taken and a 30 minute drive under the stars followed immediately afterward.

Exclamation Nice wheels!

Man. Those are some nice wheels. I have never seen those before. I was wondering where you got them. I got some new borbets from tirerack.com... last ones available! But I remember it was really hard to find some wheels I liked for this car. Those are some really great pictures too.

Wheels on 164

Those wheels look to me like the standard Lusso alloys for a 156 in Europe. They are a 15" and usually run with either 185 or 205 wide tyres.

I think they really suit the 164. Many sets of these go cheaply in the UK as owners of 156s often upgrade to Veloce wheels.

This is a picture of my wife's 156 Lusso.

The Hastings (and all the Alfas) were at Spring Alfa Day at Duxford a couple of years ago.

I'm reading here for a while, but don't post that much. Eventhough I'll post my Alfa's here. My name is Rik and live in Maastricht (Netherlands). Just 22 years of age, still a student and driving 105's since I got my drivers license. Never had something else then a 105 and when it rains (it does a lot here!) i'll take my bicycle...

1974 Giulia Nuova Super 1300 Lusso. Imported out of Italy in 2002 and then fully restored. 5,5J steel wheels 195-tires and a bit lowered at the front.
It has a beige velvet interior, but that is going to be replaced by a skai-inerior because the velvet is teared apart at some spots.
Colour is AR728 Grigio Medio Mettallizato.

Then is there also a '85 Spider Veloce 2.0 in '86 USA-specs, in AR914 Pastel Black. I'm driving this car since I got my drivers license. It was (still is...) my uncle's car, but he didn't (and stil doesn't) use it. So he asked me if I wanted to take care of it. And so I drove it for the last 4 years, payed everyting for maintanace and went for 2 years to school with it (couple of times a month). Yet is has deserved a good rest and is only used on sunny days.

Finally there was a Faggio Giulia-donor. Was technically complete, only the frontseats and headlamps were missing. I completely stripped it and last wekk the chassis went to the shredder. it was totally unusefull because it was completely rusted.

Thanks Paul! I've been an admirer of your car for awhile now. Hope you don't sell it! The early Alfetta sedans are my absolute favorite car ever built by any maker. This is my third, and if I have my way, this one be with me to the very end!

Those wheels are very common here in Italy. They were on the "Distinctive" (Lusso) versions of the 1.6, 1.8, 1.9 JTD and 2.4 JTD and as standard on the 2.0 and 2.5 V6, in the beginning. Later became as standard on the 2.4 JTD model too. This until the MY 2002 model, on which were the "Pack Sport" (Veloce) 16'' 5-holes wheels, even if the car wasn't a Veloce version.
The 2003 Giugiaro restyling saw a not so good looking 16'' multi-spoke wheel to became as standard for both the Lusso and Veloce versions.

In my opinion, the best looking wheel on a 164 is the original 16'' multi-hole chromed one, and the SZ-like one that was s
