That's a very nice car. It is nice to see the Italian buildings in the background too. It brings back very fond memories from when my family and I were living in Todi, Umbria for most of last year and also for six months in 2002. I didn't see any V6 petrol Alfas when I was there, apart from a few 164 turbos like yours. I loved driving around Italy. I have covered over 37,000 km there. I think I will always feel Italy calling me back. I look forward to more pictures of your cars with Italian scenery behind them.

It has good tyres, five original alloys, and a full set of Koni Yellow shocks in perfect condition. The paint and body are in great condition with only a couple of minor rust spots on the bottom of the door pillars. The interior is almost perfect except for some cracks on the top of the dash. We are looking forward to getting it on the road and taking it on club runs and circuit sprints. Two different people have told me that white ones are rare, so I think I have done well. The young previous owner hadn't advertised the car because he wanted it to go to someone who would look after it and appreciate it, so he was very happy with the deal.

Sorry buddy, you've been taken. It was so cheap cause the steering wheel was put on the wrong side Otherwise, I'd say you got a very fine deal

Didn't see V6 Alfas? Here we are.
Here you can see a 147 GTA finished in white, in the background a 33 TT 12, then something like a 155 2.5 V6 DTM in Martini Livery and another 33 TT 12 (at the "Carlo Biscaretti di Ruffia" Museum in Turin) and a GT 3.2 finished in metallic black with full cream leather "Pieno Fiore Poltrona Frau" all over the dashboard, the door panels etc; and in the background a 156 GTA finished in Alfa Red with full black leather interior.
The GTAs photos were taken at Balocco, the famous FIAT test track where cars like these are tested to distruction.

I certainly didn't see any like those driving around! I did see an SZ near Cortina once, come to think of it, and stupidly I didn't stop and take a photo of it. The people in my area were into diesels or small four cylinders. Some of them thought the 1.7 in my Volvo 480 turbo was "a big engine".

I actually saw a Volvo 480TURBO here in Sydney a month or so ago. It was in pretty poor condition, with four people squeezed into it. It's the only one i have seen in Oz. I couldnt imagine there would be more than a handful here?
I remember seeing several when i was in Costa Rica a few years ago. Crazy drivers they are

Well actually it is a big engine. Here cars with engines bigger than 2 liters are rare, and 97% diesels. In fact Alfas are sold 95% with diesel engines, that's a shame.
Remember, we're not so lucky as you, 1.3€ / liter that are about 1.5 USD / liter and so 5.76 USD / US gallon for the petrol.
Nice 164L!

Are you sure it was a turbo? As far as I know mine is the only turbo in Australia. There are about 5 non turbo ones that I know of - 1 in NSW, 1 in Qld, 1 in Vic, 1 in WA, and one other somewhere. There are no 480s in SA at all. Mine was imported from UK early last year. We covered a lot of kms in our Italian one. It was very economical and comfortable for us and our two kids and was pretty quick. I know it's not an Alfa, but here is a picture of the one we have here.

Yes, it certainly used to hurt when we filled the Volvo up in Italy, but fortunately it was very economical. It used to do 12 kilomtres to the litre at 130 KPH, which I think was very good for the performance it had and the fact that the car cost us very little to buy.

I can't be 100% sure it was a turbo, it was awhile ago now. If memory serves me correct it was silver.

Jack's Lucky 75 Spider
I recently got offered to donate my car for a student photo shoot/workshop with one of the best auto cinematographers in the country.
I will eventually come away with transfered 35ml, DVC Pro 50, and got a bunch of these digital stills for my trouble.
I didnt even polished her arse off but I think she shined extra hard that day.
Stock Veloce with 15inch wider steels.

Hi guys,
i´d like to introduce some of my alfas - an alfista from austria.
At first my 84´Giulietta (116) 1,6, Serie 3, modified with 2 L engine and gearbox. It has been restored 1,5 yrs ago.
I think the Giulietta 116 never had been imported to the States ??
Is that true ?? Could anybody describe me the reasons for ?
I´m just wondering, at your galleries i see the nearly the whole produktline of the 116 - models (alfetta, GT,GTV6...) only the Giulietta just missing.......
At second i own a 71´Berlina 2000 in absolutely original condition without any modifications. A " great" Limousine for really cruisin´along lonely roads !
Further an 93´ Alfa 164 v6 3,0 12V, in nearly best condition and a ´84 Alfa 6, but this Kind of diva needs some work.......
those cars let you forget the pretty boring days of doing nothing, the work never will be ran out...........
greetigs to all from austria
martin
