Hey Murray:
Did I fail to mention I took the First Place Trophy in the D class at the SOLO in Tulsa. Add the first one to the new White Spider Trophy Case. You and John M+ should try to imagine your Spiders right behind My Beasty White ALFA at Waterford Hills next year at Detroit. (That'll get a rise out of John!)

Hi Murray and Sprintn,
Thanks for the compliments. I took those photos on Mt. Tamalpais in Northern California overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It is breathtaking up there at sunset. And the marine layer/fog, usually stays below the summit so that even if it is foggy on the drive up to the crest, it is warm and clear along the ridge. It's a great drive.

My $400 1984 GTV
Here are some pics of the 1984 GTV 2000 I bought last week for A$400, after a wash and polish. After checking it out some more, I need to replace the rear gearbox mount, fit some new exhaust flange gaskets, tighten the timing chain, clean the contacts in the starter solenoid, fit some manual window winder handles, and tidy up the wiring. It has good tyres, five original alloys, and a full set of Koni Yellow shocks in perfect condition. The paint and body are in great condition with only a couple of minor rust spots on the bottom of the door pillars. The interior is almost perfect except for some cracks on the top of the dash. We are looking forward to getting it on the road and taking it on club runs and circuit sprints. Two different people have told me that white ones are rare, so I think I have done well. The young previous owner hadn't advertised the car because he wanted it to go to someone who would look after it and appreciate it, so he was very happy with the deal.

Talk about understatement Sounds like oz3litre picked up a a set of used Koni yellows and five OEM wheels and the kid threw in a GTV to sweeten the deal I want to meet a car salesman like that.

The thing is that it would have cost him a fair bit to fix the problems because he doesn't have the skills to do it himself and he couldn't sell it as a going concern. He didn't want to sell it to someone who wasn't going to look after it or fix it properly. I can tidy up the wiring with a bit of help from one of the guys in our club and I can fix the gearbox mount etc myself. It has suffered from being messed about with by alarm installers and others over the years. It would be difficult to find an auto electrician who would have any idea where to start. It works but is likely to suffer from problems if it is not sorted. The car came with all the paperwork from new, handbooks, wallet etc. and a previous owner has made notes on the wiring diagrams. Most of its life it has been looked after by a well respected Alfa mechanic.

Hi Friends,
I just registered in this nice Forum and so I post some photos of my 156. No pictures yet of the 164 'cause major engine work.
Here's with one of my cats
It's a 2001 2.5L V6 24V "upgraded" with new camshafts up to 230bhps. It has the "Blue Style" Momo leather interior, wood steering wheel (also from Momo) and gear knob, Nivomat auto-leveling suspensions and electric sunroof.

That's a very nice car. It is nice to see the Italian buildings in the background too. It brings back very fond memories from when my family and I were living in Todi, Umbria for most of last year and also for six months in 2002. I didn't see any V6 petrol Alfas when I was there, apart from a few 164 turbos like yours. I loved driving around Italy. I have covered over 37,000 km there. I think I will always feel Italy calling me back. I look forward to more pictures of your cars with Italian scenery behind them.

Sorry buddy, you've been taken. It was so cheap cause the steering wheel was put on the wrong side Otherwise, I'd say you got a very fine deal
