Bloody hell, the late model Sprints were such nice looking cars. In direct opposition to some unbelivably dull cars in the 80's, looked after like the one above, they still look the part. Nice car. Why would anyone want an E30 BMW when cars like the Sprint exist?

Hey a alfa site where people arnt arguing......excellent.
Well here is my Alfetta sedan with a 3.0lt 164 engine..Haltech EFI and complete V6 driveline. Anyone have any pics on what they believe to be the fastest alfa sedan in the world (mine is nowhere near gonna be that)?

Cheers

welcome ! - wow thats a big engine to squeeze in there! was the conversion hard? thats something a bit different - the alfetta sedans usually get looked over for that sort of treatment

Yes alot of work lol

Hello there, yes is has been alot of work but in areas that i did not expect. The engine istelf fits nicley into the engine bay and looks a better fit than an alfa 90 however fitting the V6 tail shaft proved to be alot of work.
The size of the donuts are such that they would not pass throught the rear engine mount, thus i had to get in there with a portapower and stretch open the point of the tunnel at the rear engine mount.
This of course ment i had to come up with an engine mount which seems to be working well.
The same stretching treatment was required for the rear donut as well as for the isostatic gear linkage.
The fitting of the transaxle was harder than the engine as i had to re rout the handbrake cable and run V6 steel hudralic lines from an alfa 90 from the clutch master to the slave.
Also setting up the fuel system ie: extra return lines and pumps was time consuming.
All hard work on the ground in the shed.
Lots of othere bits and pieces but the car is a hoot to drive.
Cheers

Past and current Alfas

Here are my two current Alfas. My 1970 1300TI (GG) has a warm 2ltr, the 1970 1300 Junior is a past Concours Champion. Here is also a photo of... er Charlotte my 1965 Fiat 1800B

GG was purchased in 1991, sold in 1997, repurchased mechanically worn out in 2002 (because I missed him so much, never do this!) and was completely rebuilt at significant cost over 12 months. During this time I had a lovely 50,000 mile 1970 Super which I later sold . Here is a photo of them both together during GG's rebiuld

The only thing I didn't do to GG was repaint him outside. There were too many memories. It is the last of my cars I would sell.

Sorry about the photo size (still learning). Hope you like them.

Cheers
John

I bought my Alfa 147 selespeed in Guadalajara Mexico one and a half years ago. I am planning to bring it to the U.S. for two years while I study an MBA. Is Garcia Alfa Racing or Orion Auto service capable of servicing this vehecle?
