New Milano at Home
Hi Y'all! I've been a member for some time now, but recently I purchased a Milano Oro. Lots to do, but happy man. Here's a pic from the day I picked it up from the former italian owner.
Cheers!

Thnx! That's Blu Zaffiro. Nothing really special about it, only that there are around only 20 75's in Argentina. This is one of three known american Milanos. The other two are 3.0 Verdes
Cheers!

One tired Alfetta!
I probably should have posted here instead of Alfetta site.
This car was very competitive in the 80s. Always finished (when kept on the track) in the top 3. We were getting over 205 hp on a Norman engine. Imagine the crankshaft, drive shaft, clutch, donuts, and tranny shaft all running a 9000 rpm! Balance! We had to put over 80 lbs of lead in the floor boards to get it up to minimum weight.

My daughter's GTV
Here, at last, are some pics of my 20 year old daughter's 1981 GTV 2.0. We drove over to Melbourne in early November 2009 to purchase it. It was built in late November 1981 and is really a 1982 model year. It is in beautiful condition with absolutely no rust, a brand new engine with Pace cams, a rebuilt gearbox and custom leather and suede cloth upholstery. The previous owner and his family are Italian and are big Alfa fans. He sold the GTV to finance finishing his Alfetta V6 project car. My daughter uses it as her daily driver and loves it. The photos were taken yesterday (Feb 21, 2010) on a club run to the Barossa Valley wine region.

My new Potenziata
Following the tragic demise by fire of my much loved grey 75 three litre Potenziata last month I decided that I really wanted another Potenziata. I thought about buying a 156, 166 or a 164 Q, but once you have owned a Potenziata there is nothing really to compare it with. You can't beat the fun of driving a 200 BHP 3 litre V6 transaxle car in my opinion. In addition you can use a 75 as a family car. My family and I went to Melbourne for holidays in my grey one only three weeks before it caught fire. As it happened the brother of the guy we bought my daughter's GTV from, (see previous post), had been trying to sell his black Potenziata for a while and I had been watching it out of curiosity. I rang him and we arranged a deal. I flew over to Melbourne last Thursday and drove it the 750 kilometres back to Adelaide the same day. These cars don't grow on trees so I am very lucky to get another one so quickly. The engine has done less than 20,00 km since being completely rebuilt, the gearbox is perfect and the car itself is in excellent condition. This car really flies and sounds fantastic with its stainless steel rear muffler and big tailpipe. I love the look of the black paint. It is a very rare colour in Australia and there are none that I know of in South Australia. It was great to deal with another member of the same family. They are nice people and we intend to keep in touch. These photos were taken on the same club event as the ones of the GTV. It was a trophy presentation day for the clubs involved in circuit sprinting at the Mallala race track.
