The Super is in Galveston and I've been tying up some loose end with the shipper. Next we go to Customs in Houston, clear the car, and then drive to Galveston to pick it up. The hurricane did a lot of damage to Galveston so the only Customs offices that clears cars is in Houston near the ship channel. Bob and I are going to pick up the car probably Wednesday or Thursday.

And to be honest, the klip as from the first 15 minutes on the track - got around much smoother and better lines 2nd and 3rd time around.
On top of this, I had to get the feel of the car before trying to press her to the limit.
Also found that under hard cornering, that the clearance is an issue - the rear outer of the tires rub against the outside tire well - not the lip, but the actual inside of the panel about 2 cm up from the lip.
Hope that the jack together with a couple of knee-pads and a great deal of force has helped. I measured the extra clearance to be between 2-3mm and only my coming track-day at Knutstorp on the 28th of June will give an idea of whether this has worked.
Could try going fo 185 profile instead of 195, but don't want to lose the width.

The 185x65x15 might be something to think about, Per. The only problem is that your rim width is just outside the maximum recommended for that tire size. There is also about a 2 tenths reduction of ride height for each inch of width (I think I got that right). This would still put your ride height at around 24 inches which is close to stock.
I liked watching your video. The engine sounds very strong and has a pleasingly "hard" Alfa sound which is unique to Alfa's. It was great listening to you go through the gears. And, in truth, you weren't all that slow although I most definitely am.
So, the car that passed you was a Mini? At first I thought it was a Fiat-Abarth 1000.

Apparently it is an English kit car where it has a mid-engine mount with about 180-220bhp driving the rear wheels!!!
Used for som racing in the UK.
Totally wild and will never be road legal in Denmark
Attaching a couple of images ...

2600 Spider Soft Top
Will somebody please post close-up pics of your 2600 soft top? My upholstery guy needs to see how it goes together. When I brought it to him, there was almost nothing left of the cloth or vinyl material. There is a "V" shaped curved metal piece that is probably the closest piece of metal to the body in the back when the top is up. How does it attach to the vinyl top? Here is a picture of the part as it came off my car, before the cloth was stripped and before it was powder coated.

You'll probably get more responses posting such a specific question in a new thread in the 1900/2000/2600 forum.
There is a good chance someone in your neighborhood has a car that can be looked at. Also, there are 2 pages with 6 pictures in the Owners Manual that show how the soft top works (not very detailed and not as easy as it looks, but better than nothing).
