Dan & Jerry, Thanks for the compliments. BTW Jerry your paintings are absolutely fantastic! You are obviously very talented! Dan, I have followed your Roundtail restoration, and you've done such a great job on it. I'm sure you are enjoying all the fruits of your labor!

Regards,

Richard

Hi
I found this photo and a few others in a drawer recently. They are from a magazine shoot that was done in 1998-9.

Talking hook on a feeling

It is springtime - and it is a bit early for taking the Spider out of winterstorage. My wife fell in love with the 156, so I had to do something.
He is black - naugthy looking - and new.

Very nice and you seem to be gaining quite a collection there I have a 156 JTS Sportwagon (I think the same colour as your wifes 156).

One question since I have only recently tested a new 159 JTD sedan. How do you find the 159 in comparison to the 156 ? For I have been wondering if a 159 Sportwagon might be the logical replacement for my car when I am ready to change. Dave

This is my US/Canadian '86 GTV. I've had it a while now but it has stood in the UK before I put it on the road after dealing with the local authorities. The lights under the bumper are to make it street legal over here. It seems the amber side lights would confuse drivers, so it needs white side lights.

Hi fellow midlander, tidy GTV, How did it come to be here after its original home across the pond?
Also, not being over familiar with the lights on the 'fetta GTV, where would the sidelights normally be on a euro spec model?

Some of you may not visit the "Giulia & Berlina" picture thread, so here's a picture taken this past weekend of my recently restored '72 Super 1600. When the car was imported to the US in 1999, it had the 1600 replaced with a 2-Litre. If you're interested, here's a link to my restoration thread:

Hi, I lived in Vancouver, Canada, and bought the car down near Chicago Ohio. It had spent it's life in Florida prior to that. After a few years in Canada I moved to the UK and brought it with me. So, like me, the car has resided in 3 countries.

The side lights on non-US spec cars are a smaller light as part of the outer lights. The lights for the car are made from unobtainium so I was unable to simply replace them with standard Alfa lights. Reverse lights with 5W globes from Halfords were an emergency solution for MOT. I kinda like them so they have become permanent.

A bit more info in this thread if you want to read a bit more.
